Quality food

This place exceeded my expectations. It's a big menu and while there isn't a whole lot of vegan options, what they do make they do very well. The spice and flavor felt pretty balanced to me and the food came out quickly. We were also grateful to be fed at 10.30pm as other vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants had closed before then. The ambiance was nice too; we sat outside and enjoyed the music of street musicians nearby.

Pros: Quality Indian food

Cons: More vegan options would be great!

So good!

We were completely hungry and lost (because we were totally offline, NO Internet!) at the old town and find this Indian gem😄 we asked about the vegan options (I know that every Indian restaurant always has something!) and the staff said them quickly and with confidence! We felt ourselves safe to eat here. I ordered the cauliflower with potatoes, asking to make it without the spicy spices and promptly and positively answered! My hubby ordered the yellow lentils. As side dish, plain basmati rice. Was everything very tasteful. We felt so satisfied and happy! Including beer we spent 20€, was half the price we spent in another restaurant in Riga. And with a plus: the view!!! We recommend at all!

Pros: Friendly staff, vegan knowledge, tasty-cheap food

Good but high price

Very tasty indian food. Has some vegan options. Expensive, because one has to order a lot of the different components of the dish.

Amazing food and good staff

The staff pointed out the 5 or so vegan options and knew what vegan meant (not always the case) the food was spicy and delicious. My Indian partner absolutely loved his and said it had perfect flavour. Warning - I had the “level 2” spicy and it was very spicy for me.

Very accomodating!

Not entirely vegan, but the staff is friendly and helpful. I had a spicy cauliflower and potato curry and rice, and a friend of mine had a red curry with a cashew sauce. Just ask them to remove the cottage cheese and many options can be turned vegan!

Pros: Accomodating , Lots of flavour , Outdoor serving

Nice place to try Indian food at the very heart of Riga

This is a small and cosy restaurant right near the St. Peter's church. Our vegetable curry and Indian ice-cream were very delicious. All the dishes in menu are marked with 1-3 chilli peppers depending on how spicy the dish is. I'd say that the prices are a bit high, but considering its location, they are more or less acceptable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They know what vegan dishes are, and can offer excluding some ingredients (like cheese, cream, etc.) from a dish to make it vegan.

Pros: Choice of vegan and vegetarian dishes, Eccellent location, Staff

Cons: Expensive

great find in the center

this restaurant is located right next to the biggest church of Riga in the center. usually I avoid restaurants so close to main tourist attractions but not this one. staff is very friendly and helpful and food is tasty. of course you pay a bit more than on locations further away from center but I would definitely recommend it.

Pros: rifght in the center, open until 23:00, tasy food

Cons: a bit more expensive

Good indian food :D

Me and my parents looked around for a place to eat that had vegan options and luckily we found Indian Raja. They had several vegan options on the menu, although not labelled the waiter knew which dishes that were vegan, so I chose to order masala papadams with sauces and veggies, and Chana Masala and vegetable fried rice. It tasted delicious and was perfectly spicy :D It was also filling and cheap for my norwegian standards, ending on a total of 16,1 € including drink :) There were many vegetarian dishes with cottage cheese or other dairy ingredients on the menu, but i didn't ask if they were veganizable.

yum !

a bit pricey for Baltics but still cheap and I think worth it.. I got the onion bhaji and aloo gohbi.. you need to order rice separately for the mains.. overall it was delicious and I'll definitely go back

Pros: onion bhaji, great location in old town
