Yummy Vegetarian Place - 4 vegan options - Edit
As others have mentioned, it's a little pricey. However, you can order a vegetarian set lunch for 25,000 per person (no vegan option). This usually includes unlimited rice or naan and a refill of at least one of the three curries we are served. If you order pice by piece, you might spend a little less, but I find that I'm always full when ordering the set menu but sometimes a little hungry after a single order.
Read moreAs a vegetarian, it's great! There is a whole page of options! The flavors are a little different from the southern Indian food I'm accustomed to, but still delicious and unique for Korea.
As a vegan, you have four choices: dahl (yellow lentil curry), aloo gobi (potato and cauliflower), aloo baingan sabzi (eggplant), and vegetable vindaloo. Sadly, appetizers, desserts, and naan are not vegan. You can only have rice. Also, the owner currently doesn't allow for vegan set menus. Overall, I don't enjoy going here as a vegan...
The owner is extremely kind and speaks English well. This place is very popular with foreigners.
Pros: delcious food, English-speaking staff, unique vibe
Cons: expensive, limited vegan options

Delicious, Consistently Good - Edit
Masala has an extensive vegetarian menu, and a few items are vegan. It's been a favorite of Jeonju expats for years. The ambiance is good, the dishes are prepared with care, and the English speaking owner is extremely polite and helpful. It's a good choice to go with non-vegans. I would give it 5/5 stars if HappyCow allowed it.

Decent - Edit
Food was okay but below average from what I would expect from an Indian. I shared the vegeterian set menu with a friend, and the portions were quite small and not filling, considering it was 25,000won p/p. Starter was one samosa and small salad + some shrimp/fish starter that my friend had. Curries we had were aloo gobi (pretty good), tarka dahl (quite runny for my taste but again not bad), and veg vindaloo (quite oily and tasted odd, like no curry/vindaloo I've had before). Chai tea that followed was nice.

Overall I wouldnt go out of my way to go here again. If I lived nearby I would entertain it bc of the lack of indian food available in general. I would advise against the set menu because the portions were so small that surely just getting a lone curry would be better value for money.
Pros: Atmosphere and decor, Service, Great music selection
Cons: Portion sizes, Value for money / Food quality
