Great tasting falafel

The falafel I got as a take out was great, but 2/4 were not hot. They are on the small side.
Have not tried any of the other items on the menu.

Excellent falafel and Middle Eastern

Ibby's Falafel has authentic Middle Eastern food that is very well prepared. Highly recommend.

Not sure why this place only has 3 stars. Really yummy and they’re super fast. Honestly it’s the best falafel in the area! Definitely get one of the pitas.

Falafel is tasty but that’s it

Falafel is tasty but over $5 for 4 tiny falafel, ehh.
Their pita isn’t vegan so you there went my dreams of getting a falafel sandwich. Lol.
The service leaves much to be desired. They have a “minimum” credit cards which technically isn’t something that is endorsed by whatever credit system they use.

Overall the falafel was tasty but not worth the struggle.

Pros: Tasty falafel

Cons: Expensive

Best falafel

I used to live by this place in JC and never ever got sick of the falafel. I'm back living in Montreal now and can say nothing here compares to their falafel. I make sure to stop in there everytime I visit now.

Pros: Falafel and other vegan options

Ibby's falafel, Jersey City

So Ibby's is still going strong.

I'm not too sure what to say about this place. Its one of these places where its unclear if it should or shouldn't be listed on happy cow. Based on the old criteria of at least 2/3 of the menu being geared to vego dishes, it wouldn't get a listing. Times change though and so have the happy cow listing guidleines so...

Around 50% at a glance of the menu appears vego. I went today and asked the guy what is vegan. He didn't have a clue what I was talking about and asked me what vegan means. I've had tasty food here in the past. What strict the vegetarianism is enforced in terms of protecting items against cross contamination of non veg*n items, I wouldn't like to say. Based on today though, it doesn't inspire the sort of confidence that can be obtained from other places.

Cons: Server not knowing what 'vegan' means

Ibby's Falafel

Nice small place, indoor and outdoor seating. There are tons of vegetarian options, but a few vegan options. I got the felafel, but without the sauce because it's not vegan.

Pros: good value

Best Falafel in NJ!

Ibby's is fast, cheap, and delicious. Although this isn't a vegan-only restaurant, everything on the vegetarian menu (which includes Middle-Eastern foods such as falafel, taboulleh, baba ganoush, etc) is vegan with the exception of the feta cheese. The falafel is the same recipe as that of Mamoun's in NYC and is slightly more expensive, at $3.50. Consistently delicious.

The service is fast, but don't expect them to be super-nice to you. They are courteous, but not really the conversation type (exception: they WILL try to chat you up if you are any sort of Middle-Eastern looking woman). Doesn't bother me because all I come here for is falafel.

Very cleanly kept, outdoor eating area available as well as a few tables inside.

Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't say to make sure you try their hot sauce. It is unique and quite hot. Really adds a dimension to the spices of the falafel and the tahini.

Pros: Good food, Cheap, Fast

Cons: Limited seating
