Fried chick hun - Edit
I was never one for fried chicken before being vegan but this is totally different. It really is spicy and meaty and has to to be tried to be believed! The loaded fries are amazing and a portion doesn't look that much but is very filling. The biscoff cheesecake is great if you still have room!

These guys were at the vegan campout in 2019 and 2021 and they were excellent both times!! So tasty best kfc style burger I’ve eaten since being began! A must try!

I’m not usually one to write reviews but I had too. I’ve lived in Leicester for three years but never knew about huns until I’m literally about to leave the city, because I move soon I wanted to give it a go, an all vegan takeaway? As I am from a small town in England this is definitely city living. As I was leaving I decided to try a few different things:

So I was skeptical of this because there’s 2 things I’ve always thought veggie/ vegan food couldn’t get right- 1. Vegan cheese- quite frankly I tried it in the past and it’s one of the reasons I for now have been veggie instead of vegan. 2. Veggie / vegan ‘bacon’ I’ve only ever really rated the oumph ‘Smokey bits’ other than that I’ve stayed away from veggie bacon- I think slightly traumatised by Quorn many years ago with their foot sole shaped alternative. So I wasn’t expecting too much, but I don’t know how this tasted incredible. Like so freaking good- am j someone who likes vegan cheese now?? And vegan bacon?? Honestly this was so amazing.
‘Gravy loaded fries’
Chips, gravy and the chicken alternative were all freaking amazing, deffo my fav thing I tried the portion was huge as well, it’s currently sat on my desk next to the half eaten burger waiting to be reheated in my air fryer at one point. The gravy I don’t know what was in that but it’s gorg.
‘Battered jumbo sausage’
As a seaside girl I was really happy to see this on the menu, again skeptical but this was so amazing too. I am honestly so shocked at how good all this food was I am mind blown how much vegan foods improved recently. I would bet meat eaters would eat this without a second thought.
The service was amazing aswell, it’s a little place and space I could see how busy they were but everyone was so nice. Really good experience I may have to pop back to Leicester one day.

Impossible and annoying to eat but fries are to die for! - Edit
I'm not the kind of person to write a review on restaurants or take out places usually, however I really felt I had to say something about my recent meal.
Read moreWhile the food itself was fairly tasty and served hot, the burger was just impossible to eat.
There was no way to eat it in a way where it wouldn't completely fall apart on you.
And while I'm partial to a "dirty burger" this was just taking it too far. The combination of tall stack and way too much sauce left you with it slipping out of your hands, even when cut in half for better grip.
Honestly I'd suggest half wrapping it with food safe paper or tin foil just so that you have something to stabilize it while you eat.
Apart from that the food was pretty tasty, the drenching of various sauces made the burger pretty hard to taste, but the fries were incredible! Crispy, golden and absolutely delicious, the saving grace of the meal!
Maybe it's my fault for ordering take out instead of eating in, who knows. What I do know is that, if I decide to order again I'll be going for one of the fry based meals rather than a burger so I can eat it without wearing it!

I love love love HUNS! I have only ever tried them at markets and fairs but I can 100% recommend everything on their menu. Everything I have ever tried has been super tasty, all of the ingredients are always fresh and the staff are always lovely!

Amazing vegan food, even know several meat eaters that think Huns is incredible! The deserts are amazing too, there's none of that using dates as caramel nonsense, just pure indulgent deliciousness. The owners are super friendly and it's just an awesome company overall 10/10

We loved the food here, such good vegan junk food, we had the vegan bbq bacon burger with chips and mayo all were amazing, the chips were really light and fluffy and crispy the seitan burger was soooooo good crispy on the outside and a nice texture, and the taste was amazing too, and the mayo not was really nice too and unique, we will deffo be back ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Dirty vegan - Edit
Had our first take out fro Huns this evening. I had the McHun with chips. It was very tasty and there was plenty of it. One of my sons had the BBQ Hun and my other some had the spicy Hun. They both really enjoyed their meals too.

We have been lucky enough to visit Huns at a few of the Wheretovegan markets in town and also at pop up events and they never disappoint! Big, beautiful and delicious burgers and 'wings' which are full of flavour and amazing texture. We would 100% recommend Huns to anyone out there looking for an amazing 'chicken-style' burger!
