Just picking out your food is a feast for the eyes! - Edit
This place is special! I have eaten at a lot of vegetarian restaurants around the world. I’ve never experienced anything like this place. You don’t select your meal from a menu. They have every single dish available that day made up as sample dishes. The menu changes from day to day, depending on what vegetables are in season and available. You stand in front of a huge table with all of the dishes spread out on it and somebody explains every dish to you. You can mix-and-match mains and side dishes. They are absolutely beautiful! It’s almost impossible to choose. There are lots of vegan options or they can veganize the vegetarian options. I am gluten-free and there was also a lot of gluten-free options. I was just visiting Cascais for the day. But I’m already trying to figure out how to get back one more time before I leave Portugal to eat at this restaurant again. I went with 3 meateaters, and they absolutely loved the food and said it’s the best vegetarian food they’ve ever had.

Lives up to the name - Edit
The restaurant at the alley level was empty, but we followed signs to climb the staircase between the two storefronts and found a lively garden patio on the roof, adjacent to the restaurant. A very happy server who loves his job and loves life ushered us into the second story restaurant, where we were greeted with a long table of that evening's menu items prepared as a visual menu. He explained to us (in English) what each dish was. The restaurant is fully vegetarian but most of the dishes had egg and/or cheese that appeared to be like paneer. All but three of the dishes (two of which were pizzas) could easily be made vegan, however.
Read moreAll of the dinner dishes were priced the same and included a tray of pita, fresh vegetables, and assorted dips as a starter. They brought us both the vegetarian and vegan trays since our party was mixed. After ordering at the counter, we chose our own table and our food and drinks were brought to us.
The warm mushroom stew (vegetarian) was "stunning." The yellow curry was mild with nicely cooked vegetables and topped with pleasantly surprising pomegranate arils (vegetarian/vegan without cheese). The pesto pasta (vegetarian/vegan without cheese) topped with grilled vegetables was not especially unique and a bit oversalted but still tasty. Portions were generous. The house red wine was average. The fresh juices were delicious and everything was plated beautifully. They even had a basket of fluffy blankets for dining outside on the cooler weather!
With it's colorful kitschy decor, unusual ordering process, rooftop dining areas, and super friendly service, this is a unique casual dining experience that you don't want to miss during a visit to Cascais!

Great atmosphere and food - Edit
We ate in the garden area after ordering food - rather than a menu, you see versions of the food, so you can see what you will get. Can modify most options for vegan, if need to.

I love this place - the food, staff & ambiance are awesome! - Edit
The way they explain the food and show examples is fun. The use of vegetables and flavors delicious. There were like 5 things that were vegetarian and could not be made vegan but everything else was vegan or could be made vegan. The restaurant is about love and integrity and healthy food. Also, good bottle of wine at great price. I highly recommend it!

Cozy and yummy - Edit
Not the best vegan food I’ve had, but I loved the whole vibe of the place. There’s a vegan sushi option and several others but you have to ask which ones they are. The only complaint I have is the pigeons that nearly fly against you during your meal and dominate the place

We’ve been in Portugal for 10 days and on our tour to Sintra our tour guide stoped in Cascais for lunch. He recommended this place and it was the best meal I had in Portugal. They have all the menu items on display so you can order with your eyes. Great patio to enjoy lunch.

A comida estava boa, sabores diferentes e incomuns.
Cons: Caro, Falta de organização, Não há carta de menu

Unique experience! - Edit
I would give 6 stars if I could! Excellent exterior patio! The idea of being able to see all the dishes and choose was original and very convenient! The food was amazing! We were not hungry but we chose one dish because we desperately wanted to try something. The place is unique and the creator definitely put her love, her passion and her heart into this place. Wish I could come again!!

Unique, fun, tasty - Edit
The food and ambience deserves five stars. Both the terrace outside as well as the roof are beautiful, everything is colorful and there are many plants..a place where you feel good. The food we tried was also delicious and the staff extremely kind and willing to explain the different meals etc, the concept of choosing a dish by eye was also very fun and unique!
Read moreTaking one star off however because it's not very disability friendly for people hard of hearing and the concept can be overwhelming for people with anxiety or just everyone who isn't a fluent portuguese and english speaker too. Having the different meals of the day written down somewhere if only on a blackboard by the table where you order would be really helpful I think!
But anyways, even with those hurdles it's definitely worth to go! It's delicious and healthy and an experience to remember
Pros: Kind helpful staff, Lovely atmosphere
Cons: Bit overwhelming, Could be more disability friendly
