Good options during Veganuary 2026

The vegan options on their regular menu are disappointingly low (given how easy it would be to modify their many of their existing vegetable dishes) hence why I’m rating this a 3. Their veganuary options were good. The main curries had deep, warm, wholesome flavours.

Great options and lovely ambiance

Very much enjoyed my dinner here. Lots of great vegan options clearly labelled and not too expensive considering its so close to central. The kari curries were great, and the chutneys and sides a stand out! (Especially the chickpea salad).
There is downstairs and some outdoor seating so the ambiance was really nice - we were there on a Tuesday evening and it was full so booking recommended😄

Delicious food but okay service

Loads of vegan options that are absolutely delicious. I got the Upcountry Aubergine Kari with tomato chutney and roti and it was sensational. My only qualm is that the service wasn’t as good as it could be - when we first arrived they didn’t give us water or take our order for quite a while and then the food took a little bit long to arrive. But other than that a great restaurant and I would definitely go again.

Pros: Delicious food, Beautiful interior , Perfect level of busy yet still a relaxed vibe

Cons: Slightly poor service, Food took a while to arrive

Brilliant flavours; friendly staff

The menu’s set up for sharing, even as a solo diner to get multiple dishes that just fit perfectly together.
Enough really tasty vegan options to choose from.
One of the best homemade non-alcoholic drinks I’ve tasted! A traditional Sri Lankan grapefruit and cumin spiced lemonade.

Good

Wasn't bad, but wasn't amazing..
Price value is OK..
Is always full.. So need to book in advance.
Hoppers is something between a dosa. So a bit different.. But you can order dosa too..
We had idily as well but it only came one in curry..

Nice vegan options

Friendly service. Nice atmosphere. First time having Siri Lankan food, much in common with Indian. Very clear on what’s vegan.

Pros: Tasty vegan options , Location, Awesome Dahl

Cons: The Dosa was a bit oily but spiced well

Hoppers

Great Sri Lankan options for vegans and vegetarians, which are clearly marked on the menu. Though, I think the staff could have given a bit more instruction...luckily, we went crazy and ordered a ton of things that came together nicely. That said, be sure to order a vegan hopper and a vegan dosa; however, it is a must that you order some sides and a sauced/chutney. I ordered the potato fry and the kale, which I put inside my hopper and dosa and topped with the tomato chutney. The hopper and dosa would have been completely boring by themselves. Nice place for a date night.
