Magical Bengali eggplant curry (in Liljeholmen)

Visited December 6th, 2025. Post Gamla Enskede Julmarknad with mom. Found it through an online local newspaper article.

The place opened just a few months ago, and it was definitely time for a visit!
There cannot be enough Bengali places in Stockholm and I'm so happy that we have a few now!
The owner was super friendly and welcoming, and it was heartwarming to see that they have a dedicated veggie section on the menu with both vegetarian and several vegan dishes.
The food was served wonderfully hot and rich, with fantastic Bangladeshi flavors.
We were very satisfied with both the service and the delicious food.

Because I have a thing for eggplant, it was a no-brainer to go for the Begun Torkari and it offered perfectly cooked chunks of delicious eggplant in a rich and slightly spicy sauce. Heavenly.
It's actually the first time I see a vegan mango lassi in Stockholm (made with oat milk according to the owner) - it was amazingly tasty.

Bill specs:

Bread:
Vegan Parata 20 sek

Main:
Shahans Begun Torkari 175 sek

Drink:
Vegan Mango Lassi 50 sek

Recommend! 🌱

For future reference: The vegan dishes they have right now are Begun Torkari. Tikka Masala. Balti. Karai. Kofta. (and Mixed Daal?). 175 - 199 sek.
