Est. 2015, and few months after cooking vegetarian food, GYVAS baras became all vegan and is the first vegan restaurant in Lithuania. Offers a large variety, including changing flavors of burgers made with ingredients like tofu, sweet potato, or bean. Offers business lunch on weekdays. Selection of beer and cider include Lithuanian beer ALUS but not all alcohol is verified vegan. This location reported closed Oct. 2019 with plans to relocate soon.

Nice place to eat in Vilnius - Edit
Place that seems like a bar but with nice and delicious vegan food. Size of a dishes is XXL so you should be careful with ordering more that 2 dishes.

We had the Kiev and the Tempeh burger. The Kiev was good but the centre was ungooey vegan cheese, which whilst tasty would have been better as something melty. The burger was good but you have to order fries separately which makes it a little on the dear side. Still, we went away pretty pleased with our meals and with full bellies!

We stopped by here a few times during our stay in Vilnius. One of the best vegan options in town. I recommend the burgers and the vegan Kiev cutlet as far as main dishes go, and their onion rings are a great beer snack. Staff was friendly and spoke decent English. I also recommend the dark beer.

I love that this place is so central - very good location! Food itself was nice, staff was lovely BUT the place itself is not very clean, not cozy and too dark, so next time I will probably skip it :-(

Visited today and was super pleased. Vegan Kiev was amazing (most expensive thing on the menu but imo was totally worth it), so was the dessert which was apple pie served with in-house made ice cream. Really liked the new design too, better than previous location, and the waiter was very cool. Would go again and try all the options on the menu.

Our food was relatively expensive and we were still hungry afterwards. I had a salad for over 5€ that was basically just a few leaves, some tomato and red bell pepper pieces, and four small pieces of tofu. Same for the chili stew that didn’t even come with rice. The waiter was very friendly, atmosphere ok but nothing special. This is a good place if you want to have a drink and some snacks but definitely not for proper dinner/lunch. We didn’t try the burgers, so can’t really comment on that.

We came for an early dinner and waited nearly an hour for our burgers, even though there were only 2 other tables taken in the whole venue. Knew it was a bad sign when we overheard the guy apologising to another table for the wait (who were there before us), and apparently their order was messed up too.

I think the sweet potato fries were roasted not deep fried, they weren’t crispy and weren’t very nice. Parts of the skin were chewy and inedible and parts of the flesh were undercooked.
The guy that worked there was very laidback and friendly, and the drinks were good. So were the prices. We would maybe visit again just for drinks but give the food a miss.

We have been living in Vilnius for 10 months and this place is conveniently at the end of our road and we love it! Vegan junk food at its finest, great service, chilled out atmosphere and friendly staff, it’s the best bar in the area by far! Highly recommend.

The food is nice (we had the teriyaki tofu steak with salad and chips) and there is a decent selection of burgers. The venue is a little bit dark as the walls are black chalkboard with vegan messages written up, although they are cool it does give it a gloomy vibe. The menu could also do with a bit more information about what sides the food is served with. A good location in the Old Town, reasonable prices.

Good selection of burgers and side dishes. But the quality is severely lacking. They are all deep fried and the oil is not dried off in any way and it's overwhelmingly noticable. The burger bread is also very fragile and can't hold the burger together.
Read moreWe like unhealthy junk food but this was too much for us. There should be better places in Vilnius that serve better vegan burgers and we recommend looking out for those.
If you decide to come here as a group I advise to only get one burger just to have a taste and see how it is.
Chilli cheese fries next to our table looked better than the deep fried food we got.

We’ve been in many many restaurants in our lives, and we ate a lot of veggie burgers. The one we had here wasn’t good at all. The bread was too soft and the ingredients were placed in the middle so the external parts were empty. I personally didn’t like that on the menu it isn’t specified what the burger is made of (mine had a smoked sauce - I don’t like smoked stuff as many people I know). Plus, the service was really really bad. They brought us the burgers without napkins nor cutlery. We had to ask 3 times for the water and it never arrived. Maybe it was a bad day, but the service has to improve. I’m giving this place two stars only because it is a VEGAN place.

Read moreThe place is really close to the Old Town which is a great location as it's easily accessible from anywhere in the city center. I also really liked the fact that it had outdoor seating. The waiter was very friendly, but the food was unfortunately the worst I have ever had at a restaurant. :( The seitan burger I ordered looked like it was made in under two minutes, but I thought it might taste amazing after reading all the reviews on here. Unfortunately, the consistency was absolutely awful. The seitan was so gooey that I had to force myself to eat it (I was really hungry) and almost had to throw up. The cheap burger bun had just come out of the plastic packaging without even being toasted from what it looked and tasted like. I have to mention, however, that the sauce was really good and flavorful.
In their defense, the waiter told me that they had just gotten a new cook so I presume by the time anyone else reads this review the food might be fine. However, for the sake of transparency I really cannot give a higher score for assumptions about what the food might be like in the future.

I ate a delicious soy filet burger which was soo juicy and had great flavors! The guy working there was really friendly and gave good service. The only negative is that it was a bit dusty/dirty, so if you’re a person which is very sensitive to your surroundings when eating (like myself), that might be something you should keep in mind. *The table and cutlery was NOT dirty!!* Just some corners and wall lists. (I sat next to the wall and the list is in the same height as my head). So for everybody else, I’m sure this won’t be a big deal.

Delicious Burger!! - Edit
I had the sweet potato burger with home made fries and both were incredible. The staff were friendly, especially the Chloe Sevigny look-alike waitres + cool vegan meme posters on the wall like "leave my tits alone" (with cow on it). Would love to come back here for a few drinks when I'm in town again. Highly recommended! Oh and the meal cost €4,80 in total so not much, although I did leave €2 tip to spread the money love :)

We tried two times, the first time it was closed on sunday even though here it says it was opened, a lady told us there it was a cleaning day, but we did not give up and went on Monday, the offer is great, a lot of different burgers, price is nice... I had a portobello burger, it was delicious, only the sauce a bit spicy but I did not see the menu to mention that, but it was okay, the actual taste of the portobello burger was amazing, just maybe ask the stuff if you dont like spicy, also I hate onions and no problems for them to not put it into my burger. My friend had a sweet potato burger and she was very happy. The food came very fast, soft drinks were great. Place is cozy and reachable from centre without problems. Thumbs up for this place! If we would have one more day, we would return and enjoy one more time :)
