Amazing choices, so many options! - Edit
Checked into the Karibia Hotel and asked if they could recommend a nice vegetarian restaurant? To our surprise, Green Village restaurant was connected to the hotel, so we dropped in.
Read moreStaff mentioned everything was vegetarian, but when we looked at the menu, there was lots of meat dishes..... confused, I asked why he had said everything was vegetarian, when there's lots of meat dishes? he replied; "That's because it's not real meat, it's all fake meat"!
OMG, we had no idea and we're literally spoiled for choices as there is so much choice and variety. Everything we ordered was so good and tofu dishes were delicious. We will definitely be eating here again and as we're returning to Medan in a couple of weeks and staying for 3 days, already planning what we will eat. 😀
Seriously, if you're looking for a great meal, especially vegetarian or vegan, you must try this place. Many dishes are vegan, or can be made vegan.... you just have to ask the staff.
Pros: Choice vegetarian and vegan, Very tasty Indonesian food, Lots of tofu & mushroom dishes.

Good food and atmosphere - Edit
We really liked the food and the atmosphere at the Green Village.
Read moreThe vegan items aren't marked, but you can ask the staff to check that your order doesn't contain dairy or eggs. They said that they can make all the savoury dishes vegan.
We really liked the monkey head mushroom rendang and the tofu skin (tauki).
Pros: Food quality and variety, Atmosphere, Staff
Cons: Nothing
