Worth travelling out of centre! - Edit
Had an incredible selection of options and since you pay by weight I was able to try about half of their offerings and none disappointed! Also tried the tiramisu and for a vegan version was pretty impressed!

Wow - what a selection! Definitely worth the trip from the Centre of town to experience the pleasures.
Read moreThey have an incredible variety of savory and sweet foods, and everything is vegan. (Though it’s not cheap.)
Their lasagne is incredible - so creamy - as were the fake meat options and all the salads. Plus their tiramisu and cream cheese pie desserts were superb.
There were so many more things we wanted to try - we’ll have to go back. Puts most of the other vegan options we tried in Florence in the shade.

The food here is amazing - everything was so fresh and there’s loads to choose from (both sweet and savoury). The staff were also so lovely and friendly. We came here three times during our three day trip and would definitely come back if we’re in Florence again!

I've tried a few vegan spots while in Florence, and this was by far the best of them all.

Place is clean, inviting, kind hostess with some serious cooking skills.
Pros: Amazing food
Cons: a 15/20min walk from central florence.

Chi passa da Firenze, chi ci lavora o ci studia, non può perdersi Giumella, la prima gastronomia Vegan della città. C’è da sbizzarrirsi. Consigli? Provate l’acciughino, la maionese e la salsa di lupini, magari sopra ad un burger di riso, prima di farvi deliziare dalla “porchetta” di seitan artigianale. Portate via con voi un lunch box per la cena, magari con un bel dolce d’asporto, e preparatevi. Perché sicuramente tornerete!

Staff was awkward to say the least, although we spent a fortune for 8 full meals, they made us feel it was as a hassle to prepare the plates. Not a smile, not a friendly word... very odd.
Pros: most food is delicious, some of the food is michelin star quality , interesting and surprising range of options
Cons: staff is awkward and not communcative, we felt unwelcome

This shop is a little farther out from the central city area but I definitely recommend going here if you are vegan and find yourself in Florence. It’s a lovely little place with the feel of a mom and pop shop. Food feels more like traditional Florentine food and was all absolutely delicious. The cookies are very good as well. They charge by weight so price varies.

Giumella is an amazing vegan italian buffet. Although it is slightly out of the city center, it is so worth it! Seeing as it was near our Airbnb, we ate lunch at Giumella 3 times and loved our food every time. Highly recommend!!

100% vegan. Friendly staff. You choose what you want from the buffet. If you are dining in, your selection is heated in a microwave and served on a cardboard plate with disposable compostable cutlery (presented in a bag made of compostable film). I was sad to create so much rubbish from my single trip! Still, it was great to be able to choose what you want to try from the buffet. Desserts were mainly biscuits with some cheesecake-style cakes. Limited seating - there were only 2 or 3 tables indoors.

Outstanding, healthy vegan food! - Edit
The food at guimella was outstanding! The theme is to eat no more than what you are able to fit in your two hands, but I found this hard to do with all the options on the table. You are able to takes samples of various entrees which pair deliciously with the 9 different sauces, all home made. The desert selection was also very good and delicious. The owner is extremely pleasant and helpful. Must have for vegans visiting Florence in my opinion.

Walked 30 mins from central Firenze, nice to see the residential part of the city. Amazing food here and the owner was so nice!! We got a lot of things and were shocked by the low price (by weight)! Savoury bits (pasta, cakes) and desserts (strawberry torte, coffee mousse, and cannoli) were so worth the walk, and the owner threw in the wine for free! A Florentine came in to buy the whole huge tray of pasta. Would return!!

Since you pay by weight, it gets expensive very quick, but everything my wife and I had was absolutely delicious! When you order take away, the prices by weight vary. When you dine in, the price for everything is the same and they give you a bottle of water, cup of tea, or glass of wine.

Absolutely amazing vegan deli with homemade food - Edit
If you go to one vegan place in Florence, let it be Giumella! Such a cozy, heart-warming, and delicious spot. Everything is made from scratch and it shows. The owner is incredibly sweet and took the time to patiently explain all the dishes to us as we don't speak Italian. The dishes change each day as they are made fresh, but everything we had was fantastic, including the baked goods (we had biscotti and a savory muffin). You pay by weight, and for a full plate it was around 9 euros. Baked goods were 1-3 each. You can also call ahead and order a lunch box for a cheaper fixed price.

Giumella is wonderful! - Edit
We went to Giumella for some desserts for a party, and came away with chessecakes, small pies, and cookies, various flavors and types. The desserts at Giumella are as good or perhaps even better than any vegan restaurant or bakery I have ever tried. For fun, we also got a couple slices of lasagna and some other foods, and wow - amazing! I can't recommend this place enough, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our taxi was taking long to arrive when we were finished, so the women there offered us some delcious cold tea and we sat at one of the four or so tables and enjoyed the good company. I can't wait to order food and desserts from here for an upcoming work function. Try Giumella, you will love it!
