Small, family-run restaurant cooking local vegetarian and vegan Balinese food, like nasi campur, nasi goreng, mie goreng, bakso, and cap cay. Owner speaks English and can tell you about the dishes. Previously at Jalan Raya Uluwatu Simpangan 7. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-7:30pm.

Awesome Place for plant based local food - Edit
We went here for dinner and were super happy with everything. We have been trying to find vegan/vegetarian options at the local warungs a lot of times and mostly end up with Nasi Goreng which is kind of boring. Here you can have Nasi Campur and a lot of other veggie based dishes at a very small price. And the taste is still very good. I would definitely recommend it!

Bali trip - Edit
The Chef is very friendly type and feel like home make foods. These tastes are simples but delicious. Most importantly, all the Dodd’s are very economic and worst for the price. We ordered more than 10 dishes and cost Rp 260,009.

I can't eat at other places anymore - Edit
I was pleasantly surprised at how vegetarian friendly Indonesian cuisine is in general, but was bothered by the "funky taste" that I suspect is caused by shrimp paste being in most dishes restaurants claimed were vegetarian. After stumbling upon this gem, and experiencing their clean and fresh tasting, vegan versions of traditional Indonesian fare, I haven't been able to enjoy eating elsewhere. I've been eating here everyday since discovering the place, and will continue to do so until I leave. I've tried every Indonesian item on the menu and love them all, but my favorite is still the precooked stuff they have behind their glass display.

Cons: A bit salty, just ask for less salt :)

Absoluter Geheimtipp - Edit

Great place to try local food - Edit
A small family run restaurant who also offer cooking classes where they'll even teach you to make mock meat with flour (wish we'd had time as we'd have definitely booked the class).
Read moreFoot is cheap and simple, a good choice of local dishes to try (lots of tempeh on the menu yum!).
We had the satay with 'longtong' rice cakes, (note it didn't come with a peanut sauce) some fried Tempe slices and a portion of 'tempeh manis' (not on the menu but in the daily 'nasi campur' choices.
Owner was LOVELY.
Pros: all veg, local food , cheap

Found this place easily enough with thanks to the the big green sign outside. Just near pertamina petrol station on the opposite side of the road. The Tahu telor was absolutely divine. Staff were really lovely and had very good English. Can’t wait to go back and try more things. Everything is excellent value too
