Their aponach dumpling and tripple fried tofu is to die for! My regret is that there isnt enough warm vegan options, and that their noodle soup isnt vegan 😔

I'm a big fan! - Edit
If possible I would rate GAO with 5 stars. The food is tasty and the ingredients are fresh. The staffs are kind and the location is perfect if you want to feel the atmosphere of Copenhagen and enjoy a good meal and a cold beer in the busy cosy street. It's good to stay and for take away. Just try it!

Taste of Hong Kong in Copenhagen - Edit
Delicious vegan options including soup, noodles, fried tofu, cucumber salads and 3 different kinds of dumpling. Choose between steamed or fried. Really nice atmosphere. It feels like your in a street food eatery in Hong Kong. Tasty and cheap!

Super tasty! - Edit
As a Chinese, and a big dumpling-fan, I really like their mushrooms dumplings! And the fried tofu is really good too! The only thing I wish to improve, is either lower the price or make each portion bigger, when I spend 100-120 kr. I expect myself to feel full.

Hit the spot! - Edit
We love dumplings, and these were pretty good. There's only four to choose from, two of which are vegan. Most of the sides are also vegan(the cold noodles usually have fish sauce, but the server offered it without out it so that we could get the special). The noodles were great, the cucumber salad was pretty spicy(!), and the bok choi was as expected. We also tried the tofu and it was really good. Sadly the soup wasn't vegan because they put egg in the broth and couldn't make it without. Service was also really quick, and the guy working there was pretty friendly and wanted to make sure that we enjoyed everything.

Delicious dumplings and tasty tofu - Edit
We visited here specifically for vegan dumplings and we were not disappointed, as they were absolutely delicious. You can choose either mushroom or spinach filling but we ordered the mushroom dumplings (6 pieces) to share. We also ordered some deep fried tofu with chilli mayo to share, which was very tasty and had a nice 'kick' to it. In total we spent exactly kr100, which is inexpensive in my opinion and I would definitely recommend visiting. There are also some great bars and other vegan/veggie places nearby.

Great place to try vegan dumplings! - Edit
I've never had dumplings before, so I can't really compare it very well, but I must say that I liked what I had.
Read moreThere were 3 vegan sides (see picture), and when visiting this summer, we were told that there were only one vegan kind of dumpling, but as it seems they've expanded their menu, I'll be looking forward to going back.

Best dumplings I've ever tried! - Edit
Located on Blågårdsgade this dumpling place turned out to be my favourite meal of my whole trip to Copenhagen. GAO‘s menu clearly displayed which items were vegan (around half of them) & it all looked and smelled so good. After a bit of a wait – it was just one guy cooking and waiting and serving – our food arrived. Ugh. It was exquisite. I had double fried tofu with a chilli Mayo and fried mushroom dumplings with the special GAO chilli sauce. The flavours were knockout, the tofu light and crispy and the dumplings just the best of my life.
