Great food, big portions

We finally tried Gan Shan while having a beer at Archetype right next door. It’s super easy to walk through the back door of the brewery to the takeout window, or you can even just order at the tables and they’ll bring it over.

We got the veggie rice bowl, the general tso tofu, and the Dan Dan Brussels. The General Tso was the star - really good tofu and a large portion. The veggie rice bowl had lots of pickled veg and was really good but I do think adding the fried tofu would have made it better. The Brussel sprouts were fantastic! If you hate Szechuan peppercorn you may not like these but otherwise they’re great. Saucy and cooked perfectly.

Our bill was super reasonable and the food came out quickly. Staff was knowledgable about amending dishes to be vegan when needed. We will definitely be back.
