I’m too old to be here.

But the food was good. Ours took awhile compared to those around us but it was correct and vegan when it came. The menu is clearly marked which is always comforting. It’s very loud though as they are attached to a bar so be warned.

Pretty dang good

Their breakfast tofu was good. It’s rare to have a good tofu. Usually it’s mushy I loathe mushy tofu. Their vegan sausage was delicious and the waffle airy light fluffy and damn delicious.

Pros: Good food , Atmosphere , Convenient

Cons: Potatoes had a weird seasoning on them , Little pricy

Absolutely awful.

Firstly it took over half an hour to get our food. Then they forgot the sausage that was supposed to be on it. Didn't want to wait another half hour so I just dealt with it. Then the waffle wasn't even cooked, and was full of half raw batter. The "lemonade" was SO watered down... basically watered down crystal lite. Definitely won't eat here again.

Pros: Decent amount of vegan options

Cons: Just not good.

Super nice experience!

I don't know who had the idea to combine a waffle place with a live music bar but it is genius!! 😁
Had a great time there first getting waffles and then seeing the live band afterwards (it was $10 per person at the bar entrance - was totally worth it 😁)
The location has two different areas, there are 2 entrances, one for the bar and one for the waffle place - so if you don't want to pay for that you can just use the other door to just get waffles. They also have sandwiches.

We tried a falafel waffle with tahini, which was something you don't get everywhere/typically at a waffle place but it tasted delicious!

Pros: Delicious vegan waffles available , Waffle place combined with a live music bar! ♥️, Special and different :)

Ordered during Covid-19

My experience *might* be a result of the coronavirus and not reflective of their regular service. We ordered Aunt Miriam's (strawberries, maple syrup, and added peanut butter), vegan egg sandwich with "sausage," and a make-your-own waffle with spinach, grilled tofu, onions, and peppers. Sounds great, right? It really wasn't. Both waffles were soggy. The taste was just good, not great. I expected more from a place that specializes in waffles. The biscuit bread used for the vegan egg sandwich was tasteless, powdery, and thick. The ratio of bread to tofu/cheese/sausage was not balanced. Too much bread, not enough tofu/cheese/sausage.

Lastly, they forgot the spinach in the make-your-own and the peanut butter in the Aunt Miriam's. They refunded us for the extra cost of those ingredients. And I tipped heavily because I am thankful they are open and employing staff. I will go back when the restaurant opens up for indoor seating to give them another chance.

Funk me the funk up fam

A long time customer, used to live nearby and get delicious waffles and breakfast from here. Perfect for a breakfast right before getting tattooed at resurrection tattoo right around the corner.

They do have some great options that you can make vegan fairly easily and have sweet or savory. They also have shows here which is good and bad, and sometimes some unsavory characters wander in. Overall a good place to hang out, get coffee, breakfast, brunch, dinner, or drunk food.

A compliment sandwich for Funk:

Good - I appreciate that you support local vegan cheese from a local maker, that’s really awesome
Bad - why in the world are you using plastic containers for whipped cream and other toppings, and why the frick are you using pancake syrup instead of real syrup, and most of all why isn’t there a vegan chicken and waffles?
Good - you’re open late, your food is consistent, and the base is vegan

Pros: Flexible menu to be made vegan , Open late, and a music venue for smaller bands, Supports local businesses and creators

Cons: Wasteful with regards to plastic , No chicken and waffles for vegans :(, Pancake syrup instead of real syrup

Great option for a vegan breakfast

Non dairy options for your coffee, stevia sweeteners and a vegan option for breakfast which is a welcome sight on the road. Super friendly staff, Tim is a doll ! The breakfast potatoes are amazing

Pros: Great prices and portions

best vegan breakfast/brunch in the area

Two waffle options -regular(sweet) and falafel(savory). They also have a 'egg' sandwich made with seasoned tofu. Locally made vegan cheese (the best vegan cheese imo) courtesy of PMA foods-which you can buy to take home here, as well. Smoothies and a variety of plant milks for coffee.

Ask for the Vegan Bootsy Brunch. It's not on the menu but it's my favorite. Waffles with vegan sausage in the batter as bread, tofu "egg" and choice of cheese inside. Soo good.

Plus they have a full bar and great live music!

Pros: best vegan cheese, breakfast all day and night

Cons: none!

Falafel waffle!

I didn't see anything like vegan cheese or vegan sausage on the menu, but they have both savory & sweet vegan waffles (falafel waffle & vegan normal waffle).
I got a half & half of the 2 default vegan waffle menu items & enjoyed both.
Falafel batter waffle was on the oily side & was a bit too much falafel with "salad" that was only cucumber & tomato & very thick tahini (no hummus, no onion, no pita, no pickled vegetables).
vegan sweet waffle was better, a normal tasty waffle.
Almost all the omnivores (4 of them) did not like their weird waffle concoctions (waffle mac n cheese, waffle egg sandwich), but I liked mine OK. would go there again maybe, but not bring the family.

Pros: 2 different vegan waffle batters, Artsy atmosphere

Cons: food too "weird" for baby boomers

love the vegan batter waffle!

I had the Aunt Miriam's Waffle and it was delicious! Should've created my own vegan waffle by stacking up more fruits but for a first timer at this place I was blown away by the sweetness of the vegan batter. The falafel waffle is okay. I don't really recommend it. The hummus that came with it was very bitter. Definitely get Aunt Miriam's or make your own vegan waffles with the vegan batter!
