This is a very sad thing for me to write. I used to love coming to fresh, but sadly I will never come to one of your restaurants again.

Last night after a very intense day.. I really wanted a fresh juice and a good meal. Fresh was the first restaurant that popped into my mind! So I went. I love this location because I knew the outdoor patio would be heated and ready for diners to sit.

I walked in.. without a mask.. I have multiple exemptions.. it is hard.. when everyone thinks I am being disrespectful and uncaring of the population, judging me without knowing my background, where I come from, what I deal with mentally & emotionally and what I have been through.. I do not expect anyone to know these things of course.. but I can’t believe in this day and age the discrimination that goes around no matter who you are. I wear a giant button for that says “IM EXEMPT”

Now, if your staff was trained properly on the BYLAW they would know that many people may be exempt from wearing a mask for multiple reasons, not to ask how or why and that it is the RIGHT of the person who is exempt not to wear one.

Anyways, so the young woman asked me to put on a mask, I said sorry I’m not able to wear a mask, I am exempt. I then said, do you have room on your patio for 3?
She proceeded to say “well we don’t allow people who are mask exempt to dine here” ... a simple & in my opinion, DISGUSTING statement. Who the hell did she think she was??? That is 100% discrimination.

So FRESH, my question to you is:

Do you ALLOW handicapped people to dine?
Do you ALLOW people with PTSD to dine?
Do you ALLOW LGBTQ+ people to dine?
Do you ALLOW POC to dine?

Who do you allow to dine? Mask wearers only?

I mean it’s a short walk to your patio in which I don’t even have to wear a mask anyway... what the hell is the big deal.

This is what the world has come to. Over a piece of fabric that covers your mouth... there is judgement, discrimination & prejudice. I thought your establishment accepted all types of people.. thank you for showing me your true colours.

And going back to the BYLAW & HUMAN CHARTERS OF RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, if your staff was educated on any of that.. they would also know that I could report you... and you could get a hefty fine. I’m not going to take it that far.. but someone else could.
