Culinary love letter - Edit
I was amazed by the taste sensation Florencia provided. We chose Ronda Criolla, which is a platter perfect for sharing and trying different dishes, as it comes with corn in huancaina sauce, stuffed potato, ocopa sauce, causa acevichada, tamales, seitan anticucho, sweet potato, soy chicharron, and chalaquita. Everything was simply outstanding. I also enjoyed their homemade kombucha so much that I had different flavours for take away. The ambiance was nice and elevated by their beautiful musical selection.

Good vegan option in Barranco - Edit
The place is nice, simple and perfect for late or late lunch. The menu has plenty of options and for this first visit I had the Chaufa de quinoa. It was tasty and products were fresh, would have been nice to have a small side salad with it though. There are few vegan options in the neighborhood but this one has the advantage of being low key and relax so you can also hang after your meal or read a bit. Will definitely come back and try more options.

Must visit in Barranco - best vegan food - Edit
We went here for dinner and for lunch the next day - it’s amazing. Unfortunately I don’t have pictures from the dinner, it was very special and tasty.
Read moreThere is plenty of space to sit inside (beautiful old building) en there is a small terrace. The next day we went back for lunch and had the pan chicharron and the pan chorizo, they were both soooo amazing. You must eat here when you’re near!

Always great! - Edit
We’ve eaten here every time we come to Lima & have never been disappointed. Love the house & always great service to go along with the amazing food. The green olive empanada has a lovely flaky crust & the maki rolls were very well done. You also get a good portion of food for the money!

Vegan Italian/Peruvian fusion - Edit
I got delivery from here, communicating using WhatsApp and delivery via Rappi. They have a great menu, with lots of options. I really liked what I ordered (pesto), but my wife and Mother-in-law were so-so. I think they wanted more Peruvian flavor. #Veganuary
Read moreUpdate: I finally made it here for lunch. This is a great little place on a quiet street on the edge of Barranco. They have a great menu of Peruvian classics. My wife started with ceviche (6/10). Ok, but a little bland for my taste. My wife agreed. I started with a squash/carrot soup that was very good. My wife also got lomo a la huancaina (8/10). I got seco (8/10). Both of these dishes were served with seitan. The seitan was well made, but what they missed was flavoring the seitan. It’s like they took unflavored seitan and threw it into the pan when they made these dishes. The result was a chunk of wheat gluten with sauce on it, as opposed to seitan that was stewed in a broth/sauce and properly flavored. With the right seitan, these two dishes would’ve been exceptional. I finished with a carrot cake dessert they offered. It was very good. Very tasty.
I came back to try the maki. Very tasty. I had a ceviche maki, tiradito maki, and the charapita maki. All three were great, but the ceviche maki was exceptional.

Get the yucca fries! - Edit
The starter here was my favourite part! The yucca fries and mushrooms were delicious. I enjoyed the pesto chicken but the beans were quite plain. The pasta in yellow sauce didn't have my flavour and the tofu and veg was okay. It was nice trying some local dishes and great to get a pisco sour without egg.

Lovely place - Edit
I was nicely welcomed by the staff at Florencia and they were more than happy to explain the dishes and give suggestions.
Read moreI had a traditional ceviche and a pescado with mashed potatoes that was a good nostalgic experience. First time feeling the same taste after becoming vegan.
I'm sure the other dishes are as good as the ones I had.

Good - Edit
The food was alright but I don’t think it lived up to the hype of all these other reviews which was a bit disappointing.
Read moreMy boyfriend ordered what was called a ‘burger’ on the menu and the description said ‘vegan chorizo and potato fries’. We assumed that meant it was a burger with vegan chorizo in it with fries on the side. But when it arrived it was literally a bowl with fries and pieces of vegan chorizo. Technically got what was described but it was a little confusing that it said it was a burger! Luckily we could laugh about it 😂
I got the pesto ravioli which was alright, the sauce tasted like it was made in house which was cool but it didn’t have too much flavour.
The Pisco sours were delicious though and nice to try one at a vegan place.
Pros: Homemade hearty food , The building is cool, Friendly staff
Cons: Not super flavourful , A tad overpriced

#Veganuary

The pescado a lo macho is that kind of "oh wow, thats vegan!" dish. You will never guess what the main ingredient is (and I won't spoil the surprise for you).

Excellent vegan gem! - Edit
So excited to find this fully vegan restaurant. Lots of different options included traditional Peruvian dishes (vegan versions) and international options like burgers and pasta.
Read moreWe had the soy sauce fried banana quinoa dish (a bit too salty to be honest), the ravioli with bechamel mushroom and asparagus sauce (so tasty!) and the mushroom cerviche (very fun). Also got a strawberry lemonade which was fun.
Really tasty food and totally recommend this place.
(Based on other reviews we thought the service would be slow - but all was fine! No issues at all.)
Pros: So many options , Traditional Peruvian dishes (vegan!)
