Delicious falafel, fairly well priced. Chips were quite bland so I wouldn’t get those again but having vegan tzatziki is a real treat!

Very good - Edit
I had the doner salad box and the vegan doner meat was very delicious. It was marinated and very tasty. My sister had the doner pita, which also was good, but it was a little small.

Family recipe falafel - Edit
Very tasty falafel, hit the spot. Family recipe and you can taste it! We also liked the vegan döner, but found it a little greasy. Chips were alright, but not our favourite.

So disappointing - Edit
I reviewed this place in 2019 (see below). My experience this year couldn’t have been more different. I ordered a vegan mezze for one and a side of chips, expecting a lot of food. The portion of chips was large, but the texture was really weird, almost chewy. The mezze was basically just a plate of salad and was missing the falafel and avocado listed on the menu (the main part of the meal!). The staff added these when I complained, but the whole plate was just bland and unpleasant. Low calorie foods like lettuce made up the bulk of the plate, with only one vine leaf and a measly portion of couscous, and it all tasted of nothing.
Read moreI hope they improve in future as this meal was a huge disappointment.
2019 review:
The mezze platter for 2 feeds about 4!! Food was pretty nice, and there was certainly a lot of it. The servers were happy to swap out the falafels for extra sweet potato due to intolerances, so we didn’t feel shortchanged. They were also happy to give us a takeout box for all our leftovers.

Nice falafel, many vegan options, friendly prices. - Edit
Ordered a traditional falafel tub as lunch and it was very tasty. Only £5,75 ai think that is a fair price. Not the best falafel ever, to be honest, but it was a great lunch. Service was quick. Small terrace outside, sunny in the middle of the day.

Taste amazing! - Edit
This was our first time going to Brighton and as both me and my boyfriend not eating meat, we wanted a tasty and quick lunch.
Read moreThis was perfect!! We ordered the falafel wrap and the falafels we so tasty, but were so big and heavy! (Good thing, as we was so hungry after walking around Brighton all day!)
One thing I would comment on was the amount of plastics being used, they have plastic cutlery and the front and served on a disposable plate.
Pros: Big servings , Delicious , Quick
Cons: Big use of single-use plastics , Staff can be a bit blunt , Space inside, not many seats

I shared the vegan mezze and it was really good, each element was different and as delicious as the last. It also has cheap pricing for such a large quantity of food along with a nice location.

Can’t fault the falafel wraps. A good working week lunchtime staple. But for me, the quality and quantity of Smorls edges it if I’m feeling in a falafel mood and don’t mind a stroll. Delivery-wise, it’s Smorls every time. But FilFil is a place you can always rely on to deliver good, cheap food.

Awesome Vegan Falafels - Edit
FilFil is a Middle Eastern cafe the inspiration of owner Amal, raised in the Middle East and who wanted to offer traditional falafel, to eat in a lively and sociable environment, or to takeaway. Filfil is a term used as the singular for falafel and means chilli in Arabic and their falafels are freshly made each day.
Read moreI chose falafel wrap, chips and a bottle of water, available on a meal deal for the bargain price of £7.25 and even managed to bag a table outside in the sunshine.
This was the best falafel wrap I have eaten, with loads of crunchy salad, houmous, tahini dressing, crisp chips, it was spot on in every respect and made for a perfect lunch, after walking miles in the morning.
I had a brief chat with Amal (no relation to Mrs Clooney she sadly said) and you could tell her enthusiasm and pride for her business and the food they serve. Highly recommended on a visit to Brighton.
Pros: Vegan options, Vegan falafels

We had avocado and falafels in pita, it was huge, lots of ingredients and super delicious! I just didn't understand why they didn't warm it for a longer time, as it was cold and still very tasty. We will definitely come back!

Really friendly staff, great falafel, and lovely fluffy pitta. Certainly the best falafel I've had in a while. The wrap or pitta is pretty stuffed and will fill you up. Always really clean and fresh and made to order. The meze plates are huge and have a great range too.

Fabulous place - Edit
Visited with my 11 yr old today, and we were both very impressed. Lovely greeting as we arrived, we asked what certain dishes were and were given tasters. Ordered the delicious pitta falafel stuffed full if crunchy veg, homemade lemonade was delicious too. Saw the huge platters being made up and they looked incredible, wish we were in the area for longer as would love to go back. We took away some of their baklava and Lebanese sweets and they were scrummy.

Huge Falafel Wraps - Edit
Generous falafel wraps with tons of salads and dressings. Falafel are moist inside and crunchy outside. Staff said everything vegan apart ftom 2 dishes with halloumi / feta so non-vegan food is obvious. Platters and mezze available too. Also had tasty homemade lemonade and chunky chips.
