3.5/5 - Delicious croissant and cake! - Edit
Updated (3.5*): Went back and tried the Berry Citrus Cake and Vegan Almond Croissant and they were both great! The cake was nice and moist with tasty icing and a strong citrus flavour. The croissant was also excellent - flakey, buttery pastry with lots of delicious almond cream! My wife also had the oat latte with vanilla syrup and said it was delicious. My original review was 3* for the avocado toast and I would rate the cake and croissant 4* so I’m giving 3.5* overall!
Read moreOriginal (3*): I came here for breakfast before catching a train. They actually have 2 locations in the station - one on the main concourse and one (the “lounge”) on the first floor in the shopping area, which I went to. It was a nice peaceful space (as far as coffee shops go) with calm music and nice decor. It has plug sockets and a good amount of seating.
I wasn’t blown away by the vegan options - they were quite limited and breakfast-wise it was essentially a choice between avocado on sourdough toast, an almond croissant and banana bread. I went for the avocado on toast but the almond croissant also looked really good, and really big!
The avocado toast was tasty, although the toast was cold and unfortunately they only had disposable cutlery, which was flimsy and made cutting the toast difficult. I wouldn’t rush back but I would be keen to try the almond croissant as that looked very good.
