One of the most vegan-friendly cafes in Edmonton! - Edit
One of my favorite cafes in Edmonton, and probably one of the most vegan-friendly too! The atmosphere is very cozy and eclectic (quirky academia vibe?), with ample seating. Most of their baked goods are vegan. They are best known for their donuts, but their cinnamon rolls are great too - fluffy and humongous, with a very generous smear of frosting! I loved the seasonal cinnamon roll flavors; there was chai and pumpkin spice when I came in late-September. There's no extra charge for nondairy milks, which is always appreciated. They are not only a cafe; they also serve a variety of breakfast and lunch foods, as well as alcoholic drinks.

Good donuts - Edit
Fawkes is currently a coffee shop located downtown, but they are in the process of renovating and developing a full cafe. From what we saw, the place will look amazing when it’s done (old brick and chandeliers). Right now they have vegan cake donuts in rotating flavours available in a box of 4 donuts. The donuts were good, although personally I found the fudge and creamsicle to be the best and thought the blueberry one was a bit bland. We also tried their ice coffee (pre-made bottles) and iced London Fog tea. I don’t even like London Fog tea and it was amazing! I would definitely stop by again. *update Feb 2025* we stopped for coffee at the full cafe on Saturday morning. The decor is great with lots of vintage and antique furniture and comfy chairs. They now sell the vegan donuts individually and probably had a dozen flavours which made it hard to pick. They also had vegan cinnamon buns. On the downside they only have vegan sweet items. A server told us they temporarily had a vegan sandwich but it was too labour intensive to make so they took it off the menu. They also didn’t have anything both vegan and gluten free.
