Ordinary buffet restaurant

We visited this vegetarian buffet restaurant at 3:30pm and it was tea-time at the time of our arrival. The restaurant was full of customers at every corner and there were very little food leftover. Despite that, the leftover food was still sufficient for a decent meal. As such, we had to seat at the corner near the cashier as there was a small table with 2 free seats. It was rather cramped but at least better than nothing.

The variety of dishes was already quite limited and more than half of the food did not quite appeal to my liking. Hence, I repeated the same serving twice. I ate a huge serving of noodles, French beans, cauliflower, mushrooms, tofu and glutinous rice. We took some desserts like pancakes, soft cakes, fried pumpkin balls etc but they were just average. Nevertheless, these were adequate to fill my stomach.

Honestly speaking, even though the spread of food was considered rather decent, I did not quite like the food in this restaurant very much. Still, I was grateful they do serve food for tea-time as we really could not make it at lunch time. It was worth the money as it was filling at the end.

Pros: Tea-time was available

Cons: Small and limited seats, Limited variety of dishes, Mediocre service

Busy lots of choice.

Some food was nice and some was not to my taste.
Most was cold or incorrectly labled.
I went in the mid afternoon to make it more reasonable.

Pros: Card payment

Cons: Lots contained egg , Very busy, Cold food

Great Eatery / Decent Buffet

They were kind enough to allow 6 of us to walk in and sit down.
There were a lot of options but nothing that spectacular.
Difficult to navigate within the small space.

Pros: Options, Reasonable price, Accommodating

Cons: Small size

Good atmosphere and buffet

It’s a small crowded eatery buffet.
You can read the ingredients of the food. The best is the signs with: don’t talk in the food erea!
The food and choices was good. Many choices, warm, cold, salad, desserts, soup, drinks.
I wish the eatery was bigger, like ahimsa.
Price is okay.

Good Cantonese style buffet but crowded

I went here as I was starving and in the area, and by myself. It is a busy restaurant and there was a wait to get in as well as many people filling their plates at the buffet area.

I understand why it is so popular as the food is quite healthy (I found it to be relatively non-oily), meets local preference of Cantonese style dishes, and has a huge variety, which makes it a good value for all you can eat. But don’t go if you are expecting very spicy Sichuan style dishes / fusion dishes / heavily spiced with onions and garlic.

I enjoyed the range of green veg dishes, steamed dumplings, many soups (especially the mushroom dark soup), bamboo shoots, salad and fruit.

Not all dishes have English labels so I used Google translate for some of them. All were marked as either vegan or with egg etc.

I also found the staff at the check out till to be very friendly. He checked that I had seen the desserts and the vegan coffee, which was very sweet to pay attention to me.

Pros: Healthy, Huge variety, Value for all you can eat

Cons: Crowded , May not be to your taste as more home style , Not all dishes have English labels

Heavenly! Best buffet

This one is amazing. Came here five min after they opened and they were already packed. Can agree with the busy part, but not that it’s bland!
I mean every restaurant/ food here is missing salt, but that’s no news
I love the style/interior
Staff is very attentive and they keep bringing out new stuff
Everything is marked!
It was still holiday so it was 118$ for lunch instead of 98$ which is usual
Also having Shields so you have more privacy
Highly recommend coming as early as possible

Highlights were:
Fruits plus peanut butter crunchy
Kale
Coffee with rice milk or chocolate rice milk
Matcha cakes
Taro balls and sesame balls (deep fried)
Mushrooms all kind
Spinach stir fry
Lotus dish
Salt and pepper tofu
Wonton/spring rolls

Only thing missing : sweet and sour - the one here had eggs unfortunately:( plus some dumplings steamed

Great food! highly recommend it

Crowded and messy

Nice buffet and large variety of dishes but allergen labellings are very messy and the place gets super overrun as it is all you can eat.

A huge variety of traditional HK dishes of great quality

They had dishes just like what my (HK Chinese) grandma and mum used to cook! The food was of good quality. Loved the Chinese deserts. Huge variety. You might want to book ahead. The cost varies by the time of the day.

OK

Everyday was good until we went to some of the other vegan and vegetarian restaurants in the area. Lots of vegan options, but as other reviewers have said, some but not all items are labelled in English. Being able to eat as much as you want in 90 minutes is a fun gimmick, but we ate better elsewhere. Everything was a bit too oily and we were not as good at mixing the different component items into a coherent balanced meal as what a chef would be if you ordered off a menu somewhere else.

Crowded and bland

The reviews for Everyday are spectacular but I was underwhelmed. I found the food to be very bland. There was nothing that made me want to go back for seconds (which is very unusual for me). I had a 30 minute wait to get in and the place was packed with people brushing past me constantly while I ate. Not conducive to a peaceful quiet lunch. They were out of many dishes and did not appear to plan on replenishing as a worker told me, “No more.”

Hidden gem for low key vegan local Chinese food

Like home cooked Chinese food which is healthier - less oil and salt. Plethora of items. Each dish clearly labeled if vegan or not, but ironically some of the dish names are only in Chinese. Price for dinner now is $168 HKD for all you can eat in 90 minutes.

Pros: Well labeled vegan (in English too) buffet items, Delicious and healthy

Cons: Some dishes are in Chinese only

Slightly better canteen food

I'm really surprised at so many enthusiastic reviews about Everyday.
Sure, it's a healthy and ecological restaurant, but in terms of taste it's more like a canteen at uni.
First of all, many dishes contain egg or dairy; there're labels next to it, but you have to doublecheck which label refers to which food, because it's not always clear, as there many different dishes in a confined space.
Nobody needs to leave hungry, because there's plenty to choose from. However, there's not one single hot dish that convinces me. Due to poor seasoning everything tastes bland. I understand that in Cantonese cuisine spices are used sparingly - but that doesn't mean that all foods have to tasted stale.
Surprisingly Everyday is pretty popular. I've been there twice (for dinner), and it can become very full, so best book a table in advance.
You're only allowed to stay for a certain amount of time, which is monitored by staff.

Vegetarian gem in Hong Kong

Reasonably priced vegetarian buffet restaurant (138 HKD at the time for dinner). There is a very good range of food on offer, from salads, to hot foods, drinks, and dessert. They even had vegan ice cream! I have to say this is the most satisfying restaurant experience I've had in Hong Kong to date. You should probably call ahead though. I naively just turned up on a week night thinking I could just walk in but they are very popular and busy and you may need to wait a while without a reservation.

Pros: Lots of vegetarian and vegan options, Reasonably priced, All you can eat

Cons: Busy so you may need to call ahead for a table
