Has lots of pulses, rice, pasta, and other kitchen cupboard essentials and toiletries. Accepts the use of Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT), an electronic system that allows a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participant to pay for food using SNAP benefits. Also offers a program called “Pay It Forward” in which shoppers can donate funds to the pay-it-forward board in person or online for people in a time of need. Open Tue-Thu 12:00pm-6:00pm, Fri-Sun 10:00am-6:00pm.

Highly recommend! Immediately upon entering the service was top! Knowledgeable and understanding as I asked about their shop.
Read moreI ended up getting floss, a wildflower card, and Sunny Worms (SO TASTY), should have gotten more!
They have a section for donated/free reusable containers to select from (they clean them before setting them out), which I ended up getting to get my worms.
The process was so smooth, grabbed a container, scanned the circle tab on tablet after weighing the container, then scooped the item. When it doubt, just ask - they’re happy to be of help! Would definitely come back!
PS, they happily accept EBT and have a Pay It Forward board - stoked to see it! Sustainably is for Everyone!

Amazing store with everything you need for your pantry. It's all vegan, all package-free (with an easy-to-use taring system, so bring your own jars!), and all ethically sourced. I never have to guess whether what I'm buying has labor or animal abuse in the supply chain. This is cause to become an ingredient household! (Though they also have amazing snacks, too.)

I just happened to walk by and decided to stop in. The shop was 100% vegan, so I cannot complain! Worth a visit if you’re looking for a more sustainable, package-free grocer.

I am a regular at the Long Beach Farmers Market and while buying Cheeze I was informed of this shop. So of course I went straight there after I finished at market. They have a good variety of vegan items and offer great ways to introduce people to zero waste consumerism. The staff member was really helpful and showed me how the shop operated. I picked up some cashew butter and some more cheeze to take home. I he prices were a bit high in comparison to standard grocers, but the environmental impact of going low to zero waste more than makes up for it.
