This review has been haunting me bc I was way too generous, so I’m rewriting it. Look at the pic Esters posted of the eggplant panini vs what I got. What a joke. Maybe mine had a couple dollops of mozz on it? I opened it up + couldn’t tell. It was just big onion vibes + needed a big pinch of salt + the bread was hamburger bun soft. The cauliflower app was cooked perfectly, but the fennel was too much. I inquired about dishes marked “vegan option” + the option is mushrooms. No thanks.

Hidden gem - Edit
Ester’s is Fremont’s best kept secret. Half of the menu items have a vegan option (if not already vegan) and they always have a vegan option for their wing and paella specials. Generously long happy hour and satisfying, flavorful food.

This place has a bunch of great vegan options from multiple vegan sandwiches to an entirely vegan dessert menu, but the kicker is their paella Thursday where you can get a beer and a reasonable serving of paella for $5.

I can’t even count how many times I’ve eaten their tofu and yam sandwich. It is absolutely delicious, and everyone who works there is so nice. I once came in visibly upset about something and they gave me my sandwich for free. Amazing enoteca!

This isn't like normal meat serving restaurants with modified sandwiches lacking in flare or flavour. The braised tofu and yam sandwich is a perfect lunch option! They offer vegan dishes and make their own vegan ceaser dressing as well as an awesome aioli. I've eaten here a couple times since opening and the chef / owner is awesome!
