Great bakery and savory items - Edit
Earth bakery was godsend when I visited Yokohama. I had planned to go to Rucy’s for lunch but the line was quite long and not moving. Fortunately, Earth bakery had just enough savory items to make for a decent lunch. Plus their pastries are excellent. My group got a couple different donuts and we all raved about them.

Really enjoyed Eatyh Bakery - Edit
We stopped in as they opened so not much was completely oui as it turns out the donuts are presented around 11am. But we had the soy meat pasty as well as a mushroom pasty. Both were delicious! We came back later that afternoon and picked up a strawberry filled, matcha/blueberry filled, cream filled as well as a regular donut and they were awesome! We came back another day and unfortunately they were closed. Definitely will come back when we’re are in town!! 5 stars!!

I really wanted to like it🥲 - Edit
Aesthetics-wise, the food here looks fantastic, and I was so excited to try giving that there aren’t that many vegan options in Yokohama. However, I found everything was pretty average tasting - compared to places like Te Cor Gentil or 24sekki it don’t even come close for me. The soup set was disappointing - a small bit of bland minestrone in a paper cup with a cheap plastic spoon. Then there were the donuts - I was really excited to try the cream-filled donuts judging from the previous reviews, but they tasted just ok - nothing compared to the fresh malassadas at Luna Burger, for example. Overall I would say it’s fine if you are strapped for options when in the area, but it’s definitely not on par with other vegan bakeries in Japan.

Makes me wish I lived in Yokohama - Edit
Overwhelmingly good!
Read moreEarth Bakery is an 8 minute walk from Tokyo station, located on the ground floor of the Konica Minolta Planetaria Yokohama. You’ll want to be able to read Japanese and order to be able to enjoy this place fully. English signage is minimal and I have no idea if the staff can speak English.
The selection here is unbelievable, I haven’t had this much vegan choice in years, and certainly never in Japan.
We had a light lunch here. Getting a Teriyaki Egg Sandwich, Tonkatsu Sandwich, Curry Pan and Sakura donut. It was all phenomenal. The curry pan was a must have and I’ll be getting it again, paired with a different sweet pastry. Sakura donut had a sweet, but soft flavour and I’ll be sad that it’s time limited.
Even their coffee is good, the Oat Milk latte was good, and a missed treat in Japan but not quite at Australian standard.

BEST EVER!!! - Edit
Holy wow this place was amazing!! It was kind of an afterthought that I made it here on my way to the station on my way to catch my flight. Well, I bought six things to take with me and they all were exceptional!! So glad I stopped. It’s the ground level of an office building.. kind of inconspicuous to find but so worth it!!

1. Totally worth making an extra stop! The custard-filled donut was delicious. We swung by in the afternoon, and a lot of stuff was already sold out, so I’d suggest getting there early if you can.

Amazing vegan bakery - Edit
I love this vegan bakery, they have so many delicious treats both sweet and salty, from tarts to sandwiches. My favorite one is their vegan croissant! You can also eat what you’ve bought there as per they have tables.

Amazing range of delicious vegan baked goods, both sweet and savoury. This was the first place we stopped at on a day trip to Yokohama from Tokyo. We liked it so much we came again in the afternoon before getting the train back!

Can I give this 10 out of 5? - Edit
We took the train from Tokyo and would suggest to everyone this bakery makes it worthwhile. We arrived just after 10 and they were still putting things out and I was already overwhelmed with choice.
Read moreI chose the fruit sandwich style croissant and a salted caramel item. My partner chose a plain croissant and was about to choose a plain donut before the chocolate filled ones came out right in time! I had a soy latte as well.
The labels are in Japanese so I just used my translator to read what everything was. The bakery is huge, lots of choice and variety.
The pastries themselves well they were incredible. Fresh and tasty. The salted caramel had a crunchy sweet top and was just so good. The donut was filled with a delicious chocolate cream. The croissant was also full of cream and fruit. The soy latte was delicious and strong.
Staff were lovely. The seating area is great. I wished I could have tried a few more things.
This is what we need in Melbourne but too many vegans seem to want to find places that accommodate them and their animal abusing friends/family to normalise vegan eating.

lots of seats, great bread, seasonal specials - Edit
It is big with a lot of seats, so good for meetings. Last time I had the seasonal fig danish and seasonal grape cream sandwich with an iced oat milk matcha. Everything was great. I also really like the croissants, focaccia, and also the shokupan and mochi mochi bagels to take home and make sandwiches with.

Great place, unfortunately they closed up early - Edit
Food was great, I would have given it 5 stars was it not for the fact that at 19:10 (they should be open until 20:00) the doors were locked even though the staff was inside and there was still unselled pastery. If you get there when they are open they do offer variery of good food.

So many vegan baked goods! - Edit
We got there around 4:30 p.m. and were basically the only guests. Quiet spacious store within the Yokohama gate tower.
Read moreAll the pastries and savory things looked awesome. Unfortunately the labels are just in Japanese, but as everything is vegan we just went with looks and recommendations.
We got the staffs recommendation, a little bread roll filled with a custard cream – tasted delicious! We can also recommend the donuts, they are more like Berliner/Pfannkuchen and filled. We tried the custard and strawberry filling and it was very satisfying and creamy.
Furthermore we tried the flat croissant covered with chocolate and pistachio. That was tasty as well, but I probably would rather try something else next time. As for the drinks, we’ve had better matcha lattes and mango lemonades before for less money; next time we’ll try the coffee.
For takeaway we got some savory things as there aren’t many vegan dinner options in the area we are staying. We will try a yakisoba bread roll, mushroom focaccia, potato-asparagus foccacia, a seaweed-salt bread, and of course our sweet favorites.
All in all a great spot worth a stop!😄

Delicious Vegan Bread - Edit
So great to see that an all vegan bakery has emerged in Yokohama.
Read moreWe stopped by in the late afternoon, and there were not that many options left, but enough to have choices what to get. We got the bolognese bread, the mushroom focaccia, maple French toast and chocolate cream donut.
I absolutely loved all, except I couldn't taste any maple flavor in the French toast. Their coffee was excellent too!
I'd love to go back earlier in the day to see what else they offer.
Edit: I forgot to mention that we also got a vegan egg and soy meat sandwich. It was so nice to have a sandwich as well, I wish it had a little more intense flavor though.

Great Pastries - Edit
I tried a few options for lunch and loved them all but the best was a cream filled chocolate pastry. I went back the next morning around 9am to grab another one and they had a lot fewer options, so midday might be the best time to go.
