Fantastic vegan breakfast options

Dreamstate has a lovely and welcoming atmosphere, and the service was fast and efficient (despite their non-tipping policy, which was greatly appreciated!). Their breakfast burrito was fantastic and stuffed with filling, and I really enjoyed the cheese grits (though they weren’t as warm as I would have expected). They also have a very long coffee and cocktail menu available. I will definitely be back in the future!

Oily and soggy

My husband and I came here for both lunch and dinner. For dinner, the lions mane was really bitter and soggy. The ramen was incredibly bland. The squash donut was surprisingly the best thing we had. Disappointed, we wanted to come back again for another try. For lunch next time, we had the corned beef sandwich and the delicata sandwich. We waited 45 minutes for our food only to get soggy bread soaked in mayo. We couldn’t finish our food. The fries were super oily and might have been from the bottom because they were all broken. We love the idea of Dreamstate and want to keep supporting business like these but this might be our last time here.

It’s a dream!

If you like Reverie, you’ll love Dreamstate. Large dining area with small and large tables, booths/benches, and bar seating. Lovely outdoor patio. Free parking in the lot behind the building. And the food! 🤤🤤🤤 We were there for brunch. Ordered the curtido benedict, sweet potato biscuit, English muffin, and lattes. Of course it was all delicious. I can’t wait to go back for lunch and dinner and more brunch! The drinks menu is very inviting as well. All menus are on their website. So great to have another all-vegan option in Minneapolis I can impress my non-vegan guests with.

Great vibe and delicious food

My first time to this new(ish) restaurant. It has a diverse enough menu that drew me in. The Reuben called my name and the kombucha on tap was really good!

Incredible spot

Got to visit on my last trip through the Midwest and it did not disappoint. Went during happy hour and got the burnt end nachos, a chicken sandwich, a Caesar salad, and some drinks. Everything was out of this world. Chili crisp aioli is an all star and you’re gonna want to order an extra sauce side. Staff was super friendly too. Can’t wait to visit again.

Gonna be dreaming of Dreamstate

Love the vibe here. Great service. Food comes out fast. Having just moved to MN, I’m excited to frequent Dreamstate cafe.

The food is filling! I definitely don’t need to always order an app and an entree, although I will probably always want to haha.

The nachos were a hit. Extremely flavorful and the mock duck was really yummy. Had the chicken sandwich too and that was really comforting. I was stuffed by the end.

Great brunch

Had the breakfast sandwich and the waffle of the day. Both delicious and came out quickly. London Fog was excellent. Chill music, good vibes, and not too crowded.

Excellent 100% vegan meal!

We ordered:
-burnt ends nachos- fantastic.
- fried chicken sandwich. Loved this and especially loved that it was a house made chicken patty.
- corned beef sandwich was good but especially salty.

The lunch menu is smaller and doesn’t include all of the menu items but we had plenty of choices.

Looking forward to trying out the entrees at dinner sometime in the future

Alfredo

I had the Alfredo dish with mushroom and a raspberry cream cocktail. They were both just ok. I thought the $20 pasta portion was small for the price. It did not fill me up and I’m a small person.

Delightful

The Roasted Delicata was the most satisfying sandwich I’ve had in a long time – rich, tangy, and gorgeous. The pudding I had was great too. Also appreciated that they let me use their patio in spite of near-freezing temps: a good spot for those still trying to avoid the ongoing pandemic.

Fantastic food in a fantastic setting

We've been to the Reverie and enjoyed the food there but this is better. I had the burger of the day and it was outstanding, better than any burger made with hamburger. My wife had the Ramen dish and also thought it was excellent.

The murals on the wall were also entertaining. A fish swimming over a couple of cactus, which definitely suggests a dream state.

Pros: The food!, The service, The location

Cons: Prices are a bit high

I’m a regular at Reverie (same owner) because it’s great. I knew Dreamstate would be on par. It exceeded my expectations. I kept saying I can’t believe how delicious this is. My husband and I are going tonight for the 3rd time. Can’t wait!

Big Flavor and Bold Surprises

Dreamstate Cafe served up some serious magic for lunch today.

The Shredded Burnt End Tacos hit the table like a flavor firework. The chili crisp mock duck brought a bold, savory punch, tucked into a super‑crispy hard shell taco that made every bite snap with satisfaction.

The Coconut Carrot Ginger Soup (the Soup of the Moment) brought a silky, aromatic warmth that felt like a hug in a bowl.

My omnivore son was impressed, declaring the Fried Chicken Sandwich “excellent,” which is high praise coming from someone who’s tried them all.

And whatever you do, don’t skip the fries — the Chili Crisp Aioli is the kind of sauce you’ll think about later and wish you had a jar of at home.

If you’re looking for a new spot that’s already knocking it out of the park, Dreamstate Cafe is absolutely worth the trip.

Great, interesting menu

I love Reverie so I was really excited to try this new restaurant. I got the nachos and squash donuts and both were amazing. I loved the burnt ends and guacamole on the nachos. I found the mushroom ramen a little bland but the noodles were good. They have a good selection of drinks and mocktails as well. I loved the space and decor and it looked like they have a patio for when weather is nicer. I’m excited to return and try more things!

Amazing flavors!

We had the R & R mocktail (fancy cream soda), Coconut Pinneapple highball mocktail, King oyster mushrooms as an appetizer, burnt end tacos, corn beef sandwich, and Cafe mocha pots de crême. Everything had amazing flavor although my husband didn’t care for the burnt end tacos very much since they were kinda hard and made his jaw sore chewing. There was also long crunchy garnishes in the mushroom dish that weren’t very easy to eat. The corn beef sandwich was absolutely AMAZING as well as the cafe mocha pots de crême which we both LOVED even though my husband doesn’t like coffee normally. It had lemon, chocolate, and coffee flavors which I wouldn’t think go together very well but it worked surprisingly well! I wish I had an actual pot of that! Both of the mocktails were delicious but my husband said the R & R mocktail was the best mocktail he’s ever had even though he doesn’t typically like boozy flavors. We can’t wait to come back and we’re excited that they’re less than a mile from us! Great location and they even have a parking lot in back.
