We are so lucky to have such a high quality vegan donut shop nearby that is entirely plant-based. Service here is great, though they are always busy on the weekends I've visited. Have tried the Boston Cream, raspberry filled, DC Crumb, blueberry-lemon, cinnamon bun, and French Toast - all were excellent but the Boston Cream was my favorite. Get there early!

Donut Run is hands-down the best donut place I've ever been to. Everything from there has been phenomenal! I would bike a pretty long way to pick these donuts up, they are just that good. If you're anywhere in the nearby area, I cannot recommend Donut Run enough!

All vegan donuts. Lots of flavors. When I visited donut flavors included: maple/blueberry pancake, French toast, vanilla frosted with sprinkles, chocolate frosted with sprinkles, chocolate coconut, raspberry jam (filled), Snickers, vanilla frosted with chocolate chips, and a couple others. I bought chocolate frosted with sprinkles, vanilla frosted with chocolate chips, raspberry jam, and Snickers. All were excellent but something about the simplicity of the vanilla/chocolate chip made it my favorite. Not sure what’s going on with their Instagram updates as it’s been a while since they’ve been active. Less than 5 minute walk from Takoma Metro Red Line.

These donuts were seriously amazing. I got a sampling (of course): cinnamon sugar, boston cream, french toast, and maple blueberry. The boston cream donut was seriously spot on, i havent had one in so many years, but it tastes just the way i remember them. The donuts were all fresh and delicious tasting, and i wish i had places like this near me!!

The flavors of the donuts are spot on, they come out so nicely. Classic glazed was better than any regular non vegan glazed donut I’ve had. I usually ask for recommendations from staff for best flavors!

I’ve had lots of donuts and the last few years tried lots of vegan donuts and these are definitely the best! Good variety, nice people, customer service is great. Vegan apple fritters are rare and theirs is one of the best I’ve ever had, vegan or not. My husband swears by the Boston cream. Amazing and worth a trip!

This is hands down THE best donuts one would ever have. I know, you're probably like, "Lauren that is a tall order to throw around so lightly!" Well, 1) I am strong and smart and 2) I do not discriminate, but I DOOOOOO love donuts. I find Donut Run's donuts to be well laid out. They're rich and filling, but not over done so. They thoughtful and sweet, but still classic. These donuts will surely change your life.
Read moreThe line the is generally winding around the block is well worth the wait and tends to move quickly due to the amazing staff. The also tend to have vegan pop ups in as well for aided food and fare.
I highly recommend the crème brule donut and the french toast donut. I guess I do have a type...
The mango coconut is also quite the showstopper.

Fantastic donuts and donut holes. Glazed are great we tried s'mores, chocolate glaze, powdered, french toast. All were great, fluffy and yummy. My non vegan wife loves them too!. There was a line but it moved quickly.

My son and I drove 40 minutes out to taste these donuts. There aren’t any vegan donut shops where we live so we decided to get up early Saturday and go. We had to wait in a line outside due to Covid restrictions but it moved pretty fast. We went there for the cookies and cream donut which sold out before 8am, just one hour after they opened. We ended up getting the cinnamon crunch, Boston cream, glazed, strawberry and cinnamon sugar donuts. So good so soft and airy and not too sweet. The price may seem high to some but I think they were worth it.

There was open parking on the street when I went right at 7am when they opened. If there isn’t parking right on that block, it shouldn’t be too hard to find something in the neighborhood.
