Cosy place with potential

We noticed explicitly vegan options on their website, so we decided to give it a try. Their menu doesn't clearly mention what's vegan, but they use a QR-code to check the allergens and vegan options on their website, where I ended up choosing the vegan feta & sweet potato salad. Upon ordering, they told me that they don't serve it during the weekend, but the waitress suggested an oven bake with sweet potato and feta instead that they could turn vegan by using vegan feta and omitting the eggs. At first, she thought vegans still eat meat, but when I said I don't, she suggested to also omit the chorizo. I ended up getting some warm cubes of sweet potato in loads of oil, so I asked for some bread as well. My friend had a vegan bagel and his option seemed more like a full meal. We ended up sharing some sweets as well. The vegan pastel de nata was not very traditional and the filling was kind of grainy, like a semolina pudding, but it was nice nevertheless. The churros with vegan dulce de leche were really good, so next time I'll just go for the bagel and these. 😄 Upon leaving, the waitress came to apologize once again for not knowing what's vegan. I thought they were really friendly and the interior is nice and cosy as well, so I think they have potential if they work some more on their vegan options. We'll definitely return to give it another try.

Update: do make sure you check the bill, as they charged us for an extra portion of churros that we didn't order, nor received. They also charged us for the whole meal (with churros & egg) even though I only had some sweet potatoes.

A family favourite for brunch

Cosy little place for breakfast, brunch and lunch. They serve meat and fish, but there are vegetarian and vegan options that are really tasty. You can also swap animal ingredients for vegan ones (vegan feta, vegan cream cheese, coconut yoghurt). They also always have some vegan pastries and they can make any of their coffee drinks vegan if you ask. The staff really know their stuff and are very friendly and accommodating.

Pros: Tasty vegan options that are not boring, Very friendly staff and fast service

Cons: Not cheap (but not very expensive either)
