Casual place with a few good options! - Edit
I loved that there were multiple options at this very casual, quick, easy place to eat. It's nice having to make a decision rather than having to go with just the one option (which is still nice!).

Great for a drink and a bite before a show! - Edit
I love that they have a burger option, as well as a yummy, local vegan brat on the menu. Don’t miss the tots.

Great vegan choices near Target Center, downtown Mpls - Edit
I just love the vegan tacos, which are not Mexican, but have an Asian vibe, since they use Herbivorous Butcher's Korean ribs. Fun funky atmosphere next door to First Avenue (where Prince played.) We've never had to wait to get in.

Pregame bar w/vegan options - Edit
4 star rating for convenience. Not many vegan options but more than expected with tv’s & a full bar just a few minutes walk from the target center. Vegan tacos are very good, they use local Herbivorous Butcher vegan meat.

Best place for vegan food near Target Center - Edit
I have come here a few times over the years and always been happy with the food. They now carry Herbiverous Butcher meats and Impossible Burger. My Omni boyfriend and I (vegan) split the Vegan Tacos and the BLT (vegan with HB bacon and added avocado). We both loved both of the options. My boyfriend also said this is the closest to a non veg BLT he has ever had.

Delicious - Edit
Really cool environment, friendly waitresses. Gets pretty busy and they have some cool drinks. I tried the tacos and they were delicious and the fries were really good too! I would go back again!

falafel burger was bland - Edit
I went here with my husband who is non-vegan. I ordered the falafel burger with the vegan mayo and with a side of the vegan tomato basil soup. Both were not that great. The sandwich was good except for the main part—the falafel Pattie. It was dry and bland. The soup lacked flavor as well. The service was good, and my husband loved his bacon cheeseburger which is why I’m giving it 3 stars. If I went back I would probably get the vegan BLT or vegan tacos since they use meat from herbivorous butcher, so they’re probably better tasting.

Great Tacos! - Edit
The Herbivorous Butcher meat was awesome, but the tacos were good in their own right! (My dad would like me to add that the beer was good). Funky atmosphere, loud but not intimidating. Would definitely reccomend!

My favorite BLT - Edit
Whenever I have something going on in downtown Minneapolis, I stop at The Depot for the vegan BLT. They use bacon from The Herbivorous Butcher and I like to add avocado. I've also enjoyed the tacos with Herbivorous Butcher bulgogi (a sweet Korean stir fry meat). It can get busy on the weekend nights, but otherwise I don't usually have a problem getting a table quickly.

must try the vegan tacos - Edit
The vegan soft tacos were delicious. The "meaty bits" are from the herbivorous butcher which is local. The tacos have just the right amount of flavour and the staff are really attentive and friendly. The place was quiet for a Sunday night, not sure if this the the norm as I'm from out of town.

Pretty damned good - Edit
Went out looking for vegan bar/pub grub, and found it. Ended up getting the falafel burger with some tots. Read a review here that said something to the effect of, "it can't be REALLY vegan - they fry it in the same oil as everything else!"
Read more...I live in a place that you're lucky to have options that you can count on more than one hand, that don't involve salad and fries as an entree. So, I'm not going to complain when I find some place that's at least trying to make something vegan. I realize my opinion isn't the most popular, but I'm of the mind that, if you punish an establishment for trying, then said establishment might quit trying. Anyway, on to the food...
They replaced the yogurt sauce with their house vegan mayo, which was pretty tasty. Love the fact that they gave me a huge dill spear with my burger. The tots were hot, crispy, and perfectly salted. Burger was well-seasoned, stuck together reasonably well, wasn't overly greasy, had good texture....was just good. Good produce topping it off on some sourdough bread, since their buns contain honey.
Kinda wish I'd ordered the mock duck tacos, just to check them out, but really not at all displeased with my selection. Beer selection was excellent. Staff were pretty damned good, considering they were reasonably busy. Had a pint and a burger, nice conversation with the locals, and moved on within an hour or so. This is an experience I'd repeat, if only to try those tacos :)
Pros: Good pub grub and beer selection, Great staff, Nice to see a place try to offer veg options
Cons: Nada

UPDATE on last review - Edit
The egg-free mayo on the menu is notated as "(contains honey)", and the onion rings are listed as vegetarian, not vegan.
