Sneaky vegan options aplenty! - Edit
I ended up here as a surprise after signing up to a storiboard dinner!
Read moreI had checked online and wasn’t very confident that they had more than a couple of vegan options (tip I later figured out: it’s easier to see options by filtering “make me vegan” rather than the vegan label). When I arrived and saw the menu had a “V” symbol with the explanation that it’s “vegetarian but not necessarily vegan” I was even more nervous! After speaking to the waitress she directed me to look at the website menu and filtering there again but also reassured me that most the veg pasta and pizza options can be made vegan as they have “vegan cream and vegan cheese available”.
I went for the fungi pizza which was delicious! Thin dough, crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle, decent amount of sauce and toppings, lovely garlic flavour, and the vegan cheese was just right (ie didn’t take over the flavours and wasn’t a big gloopy mess).
The ambiance in the restaurant is really nice but still has a lovely home feel to it.
Overall I was pleasantly surprised and look forward to going back! Which is a triumph in itself as it’s hard to find decent Italian places!
