menu is hit or miss - Edit
I am REALLY shocked. I wasn’t impressed overall for the price point and portion size. I also just didn’t like a few dishes. I got the sicilian pepperoni pizza deep dish, calamari, chicken and waffles, and linguini pasta with scallops. The chicken and waffles were my favorite but the portion size is a JOKE. The calamari was pretty good. It was nicely flavored. The pasta and pizza were so unsatisfying. The bread of the pizza was good but the pepperoni/cheese tasted like a cheap frozen pizza. The pasta tasted sour due to the white sauce. Vegan Alfredo sauce can sometimes have that taste. Would have preferred just buttered noodles with the scallops. However super expensive. Would probably go in just for appetizers and drinks.

My Favorite Restaurant in LA - Edit
This is my fave restaurant in LA. European feel and flavors. Great ambiance, excellent food. I order the stuffed squash blossoms every time I go, and I always end my meal with the sorbet of the day. Excellent espresso too. Just all around the perfect place. I take everyone who visits LA and my friends say they dream about these meals after they leave. I’m lucky enough to live here so I go all the time. #Veganuary

Great food, great service! - Edit
I stumbled upon this place while staying in West Hollywood on a day off from traveling for work. It’s a bit pricey but that’s to be expected for an upscale restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly, the atmosphere was great and the food was beyond delicious. I had the Chik’n and Waffles and it’s better than what I remember real chicken and dairy waffles tasting like from before I was Vegan!

Best Vegan Restaurant in LA - Edit
We love Crossroads!! It’s by far the best vegan restaurant in all of LA in terms of food, service, ambiance, and overall experience. It’s the perfect place for a date night or special event. Most vegan restaurants are casual, but this is one that is a more upscale environment. Your non vegan friends won’t even believe it’s vegan!

Don’t be fooled by the burger photo on the cover.

Great food, very pricey - Edit
They certainly deserve the accolades I'd read, but not all dishes come the same. The BBQ eggplant, for example, has an interesting texture, but tastes a bit too sweet, as did its sides. Climax's cheese platter is amazing, certainly the best Roquefort and Camembert I've had. Not too happy that they charged us for extra bread either, since you only get about 6 tiny toast slices and a whole bunch of useless prunes - I gave them a chance, they do not pair well. The chicken with capers tasted great too, as did the artichoke appetizer. The almond spongecake blew my mind with the white chocolate and this lavender-rosemary undertone that just makes you appreciate living. So yeah, worth the visit, but I would recommend choosing the dishes wisely.

Amazing - Edit
As good Italian food as I have ever enjoyed. Spaghetti carbonara perfect- savory rich flavor with hint of smoke from faux pork, not too oily. Cheese plate appetizer rocked. Distinct cheese flavors and a dead on texture. Definite return trip in my future.

Simply said, just amazing… - Edit
I had several items from their menu which were all amazing. Tried the “Artichoke Oysters”, “Impossible Cigars” and the “Sweet Pea Ravioli” and couldn’t have been more satisfied. My friend got the “Eggplant Skirt Steak” which I tried a piece of and was blown away. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed with anything from the menu. For dessert, I tried the “Caramel Chocolate Popcorn Tart” which was not only delicious, but which the presentation was impeccable. My friend had the “Brownie Sundae” which was equally good. This is the place to go for the complete dining experience…food quality, presentation and ambience. Highly recommend.

Reliably excellent - Edit
Very cute restaurant and food is always good here. Brunch and dinner are both great. More upscale vibe but never pretentious. I love all the pasta dishes and the Milanese especially. Beautiful bar and cocktails too. Only tip is to avoid the artichoke oysters which taste good but are way too little food for the money. Everything else is great value. You may even see a celeb or two while you’re there!

Excellent food, high prices - Edit
Dined here with hubby and some friends and had a very enjoyable meal. We were tucked into a back corner far to the right after entering the restaurant. We were a bit out of the way, but we discovered that it was like a private dining area after seeing the rest of the open restaurant and how busy it got.
Read moreThere are plenty of interesting dishes available on the menu, but our party decided on Fried Olives, Calamari Fritti, Asparagus & Artichoke Tartare and the Wedge for starters. The Calamari Fritti was the overall favorite, but the Fried Olives were also good, although a bit salty, and the Wedge had a nice dressing that was very bleu cheesy. Fried Olives were fried crunchy, but the Calamari had a softer batter that allowed the texture of the mushrooms to also be subtly detected.
For mains, hubby and I both had the Campanelle and our friends had the Pumpkin Seed Tofu Marsala and the Heirloom Butter Beans. We all enjoyed our dishes. The sausage in the Campanelle was fantastic, although it could have used a bit more, as well as more of the rapini. The ratio of pasta to the rest of the dish was a bit out of proportion, but it was fantastic, nonetheless. The sauce was delicious and hubby commented that a piece of focaccia to sop up the sauce would have been a nice addition.
On our reservation, I had mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday, but nobody acknowledged that fact, so it was a little disappointing. Also note that the restaurant adds a 3% service charge to provide a living wage to staff.
Pros: Large variety on menu, Delicious food
Cons: High prices, Loud dining area

Top notch vegan fare - Edit
Of course, Crossroads Kitchen in West Hollywood is an iconic vegan destination. Fine dining atmosphere, superb food, good (not great) service. We ordered the signature Crossroads Bowl. Perfect, of course, but there are plenty of restaurants in town with bowls as good or better. Where Crossroads shines is their original specialty dishes. The Poached Pear with whopped feta is heavenly. And the Baby Beet Salad is simply sublime. Everyone should dine here at least once in their lives.

Excellent, varied vegan menu - Edit
Everything is excellent, from the pizza to the lasagna to the desserts. We made absolute pigs of ourselves and the only dish I probably wouldn’t order again is the braised leeks—nothing to write home about. I shouldn’t note that the other member of my party was my fully carnivorous brother, who had never previously eaten at a vegan restaurant. He was impressed, particularly by how closely things like the wedge salad with bleu cheese and bacon crumbles tasted just like the real thing.
Read moreWait staff was a bit pretentious, which was disappointing, but I wouldn’t let that deter me from future visits. They’ll be tipped in kind.
