Delicious vegan food in an authentic Japanese building - Edit
I had the very delicious Buddha bowl for 2000¥. The restaurant had a very authentic Japanese feel to it and the staff were super friendly. Would recommend 100%.

Tasty lunch - Edit
They basically have only two lunch option: curry and Buddha bowl. We got both and both were delicious. Great vegan take on traditional Japanese food.
Read moreAlso had the lemon squash to drink, very sour.
We sat on the tatami floor, but they also have a couple tables with chairs. Very cozy atmosphere.
The restaurant is located in a small side alley but not too hard to find.

Excellent, non busy spot in town - Edit
Great vegan meals (option of 2, both were very delicious and had a lot of colors). Affordable, and has a great drink menu. Shoes off, very peaceful atmosphere. Not visible from main streets, which made it less crowded on a Saturday

Delicious, filling, and pretty - Edit
Cozy place with the best vegan food we've had on our vacation. They have three menu options - a Buddha bowl, a plate with the same ingredients as the Buddha bowl, and a curry plate. All three include soy meat, the portion sizes are big enough for Americans, and the presentation is gorgeous.

Best Meal I've Had In Japan - Edit
Finding Japanese style vegan food in Japan has been surprisingly hard, but this place absolutely nailed it. One of the best meals I've had potentially anywhere. I'm almost tempted to head back to Kanagawa for a second visit.
Read moreMenu was short and Japanese only, but team were happy to translate and explain what everything was. Setup was traditional Japanese style, very peaceful and I had no trouble getting a table for lunch.

Gorgeous food in a beautiful house - Edit
The food is so carefully prepared and beautifully presented. It looked so good and the flavours didn't disappoint, everything tasted amazing. The women who run the restaurant are lovely and welcoming. Go if you get the chance. You will not be disappointed. I'd travel to Kamakura just to eat there again. I love this place.

TASTY Food in traditional setting - Edit
Old traditional Japanese house with 2 lovely hippie ladies that were beyond nice. Unfortunately our party had some issues and could not sit on the floor (embarrassing). If you can't sit on the floor I would recommend reserving ahead and letting them know (instead of being stupid tourists like some of my group).

Hidden gem - Edit
This place is quite a hidden gem. If you haven’t planned to go there in advance you won’t stumble past it as it’s down a little footpath. The ambience is beautiful, very traditional with the choice of floor mats or chairs. Shoes off inside. There’s an aircon on the wall but it didn’t seem to work much, very toasty. There was just a couple of lunch options so we got them both. Everything was beautifully presented. The curry was absolutely divine. I got the Buddha bowl which was yummy but really would have benefited from more dressing. The strawberry smoothie was nice but not very sweet. That’s not a bad thing, but making a note of it so people set their expectations! There was some other vegan drinks and sweets but we didn’t get to try them. I’d absolutely recommend this place, everything is very healthy, staff were lovely and the experience alone is something special.

Absolutely recommend - Edit
Beautiful cozy traditional Japanese style building with a set course. Full course comes at the same time, and tea after. Wonderful flavors and layers, even in the rice, which was topped with baked greens and as we got to the bottom of the dish, a wonderful sauce surprised us.
