I’m coeliac and finding GF vegan pizza is nearly impossible but this was fantastic. The dough tasted so good, texture was perfect, cooked to perfection, and at no extra charge (but I would happily pay for such a good gf base!)
Very nice terrace, hidden by plants, feel comfy and homey!
The owners are two amazing girls with such a good vibe!
Thank you so much girls, can’t wait to be back in Mexico just for Coral!! Good luck for you next projects!

This place is amazing. My pizza was delicious and my husband loved his empanadas. Def try the cauliflower cheese it’s surprisingly good. We were able to meet one of the owners who explained how they are funding their coral growing program through their restaurant to restore the local reef. This place is legit 💯

This is another place we ended up visiting 3 times; the first time they'd run out of pizza dough so we ended up getting empanadas to takeaway and they were so good we went back the next day to try the pizza. Our third visit was on a rainy day, we shared the La Mexa pizza and had more empanadas of course. The pizzas are great and topped with homemade vegan cheese, but the empanadas are amazing. My favourites were the Elote Delight creamy sweetcorn one and The Fit spinach filled one. Also have to say the staff were all so lovely!

This place has a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and a great selection of tasty food. They do either pizza or empanadas. After a lovely free appetiser of carrot sticks and a tasty cheesy flavoured dip. I had the Elote empanada which came with a lovely spinach dip. The pastry was so fresh and the filling was yum. Then I had the pizza with rocket and cherry tomatoes. All the cheese is homemade and my pizza had an almond based cheese which was creamy and lovely. I as very full at the end but still managed to force myself to have a brownie with coconut ice-cream, which was very delicious. To drink, I had a passion fruit based “cocktail” which was also delicious. I 100% recommend you try this place - you won’t be disappointed!

we really enjoyed this spot - nice outdoor seating across from a lively plaza, tasty food, really sweet staff! the mushroom empanada was a fan favorite! the pizzas are also a good size - 2 pizzas and a couple of empanadas were good for 3 adults and a kid!

They have lots of options here to suit all and the staff are super helpful when it comes to adding or removing ingredients. They make their own cheese in house which is really creamy. The empanadas are lovely and the in house sauce is super spicy and tasty! Staff are so chatty & friendly, and the place has a really great vibe. Definitely recommend!

Delicious, vegan pizza made from real ingredients, not store bought cheese. The encourage you to try two different versions on one. We had the Mar, Olas Blancas and Mangroovy and pepperoni de Mar. Mangroovy was my favorite. Like spinach dip on pizza. Vegan brownie and coconut ice cream dessert

Im so glad that I was able to find this restaurant on this app. Delicious food and welcoming environment. My only issue was that finding it was a challenge between apple and google maps. Check the address and find it on the map yourself - apple map specifically will take you to the wrong side of 20th ave.

Best vegan pizza I have ever had - Edit
This restaurant was wonderful! I am not usually a huge fan of vegan pizza but this was excellent. The food was served piping hot, the crust was perfect, the vegan cheese was a nice texture, and the flavorful toppings pulled it all together. Don’t miss out on the empanadas and ask for the spicy sauce if you like spice!
Read moreThe beverages also made this experience lovely. I had a passion fruit kombucha that was phenomenal. It is also a few blocks away from the hustle and bustle of the most touristy areas so the vibe is a lot better. Service was very good as well.

Cannot speak highly enough of Coral. A truly special find in Playa Del Carmen, serving the best vegan pizza I’ve ever tasted, anywhere. Great spot, very warm welcome and the chance to go half and half and try two pizzas for the price of one. Fabulous juice mocktails too. We loved everything about it!

It’s not often I walk in somewhere and feel genuinely welcome… this is one of those places where your presence feels important! The waiter who served me was a total delight, and the owner came and spoke to me and was so kind and obviously very passionate. Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious and I recommend visiting whilst you are in playa! I really appreciate that you can order half and half. My favourite “half” was the mushroom and soy sauce pizza - suuuuper delicious. I also had a fresh orange juice blended with ginger and the avocado and lime pie. This was my first meal in PDC and it did not disappoint! They gave me a half and half pie, and both were great and very filling. I also had the spinach empanada and was blown away how this little pocket of joy packed so much flavor! I might go back and just try all their empanadas.

Coral vegan pizza does amazing pizzas and empanadas which taste amazing, one of the best vegan pizzas I’ve ever had. Meeting the lovely team and the owner Samantha was the highlight though. Chatting about the incredible work their doing to save the Mexican coral reef was truly inspiring. Keep it up guys 💜

Read more- Amazing, no complaints. We tried 4 types of pizzas and I think one of each empanadas. We had the empanadas on a bus ride to chichen itza the next day and they still tasted amazing!
The people:
- We were looking through our diving footage on gopro while we were there and talking about the fishes we saw, and the staff came to talk to us about coral conservation! We learned SO MUCH, they're very passionate about saving the ocean. As you probably know, the corals near Playa and Cozumel are fragile ecosystems that are threatened everyday by human activities like animal ag, cruise ships, careless tourist/tour guide behaviours, and more.
