Been to Cor de Tangerina several times through the years and it’s by far my favourite restaurant to go when I am back in my hometown! Not only it’s the cutest little place (both the inside and outside spaces) but they have the most delicious food and the sweetest owners that always great you can it’s their warm and huge smiles!

Eating here made me realise that I've been handing out 5 star reviews to easily. Everything was fantastic; the food, the atmosphere, the service, the view from the window...I'm even willing to forgive the fact that the music playing was the "Best of Queen!" Seriously though you should definitely lunch (or dinner) here if visiting Guimaraes .

The restaurant is made out of an old house, super cool decoration. The staff is friendly, the food is AMAZING! I had the prato do dia, Baked tofu with urtiga and onion, vegetable couscous and chuchu salad, which was incredibly fresh! My boyfriend had the mushroom arroz caldoso which was very nice as well. I was completely astonished with the dessert, we asked for a Obsessão de Mirtilo, comes with a blueberry mousse, blueberry spicy jam, a chunk of ginger and a black rice crisp. I never ask for dessert because i usually don't like any but this one...oh my god! Amazing! This time it was not vegan, just vegetarian, by choice but you could have the same dish vegan. Fortunately i was not very hungry because the doses are a bit small, and they are so good that you definitely want more!

Everyone recommends this in Guimarães but I don't. I went there a while ago so I hope they got a new waitress because when I was there the girl didn't seem too vegan friendly, making smart comments everytime she served me. The food was undercooked, overpriced and nothing special.

Today was the second time I ate the daily menu at Cor De Tangerina. The main dish is always delicious and full of flavor. Today I found the dessert, a kind of pinneaple and hemp jam with carob mousse and orange on top, a bit too overpowering and too sweet. My friends had the same opinion.

Awesome food and great space (with a nice terrace). The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The only """bad thing""" I can say about this restaurant it's that it is a bit expensive. But it's absolutely worth it if you have the money!

I did not expect this place to be as good as it was. We were pleasantly surprised by how tasty and well-executed the food was. We ate here twice during our trip in Guimarães and both times were good. The food is rich and gourmet. It’s not healthy by our standards (because we follow a SOS free diet), but not too bad for being gourmet. It was a nice experience, and the service was also great as well.

Read moreBut for the first time I frequented this restaurant the rest of the experience was indeed a disaster.
We greeted the waitresses at the entrance and sat down on the terrace.
We ended up having to wait about 15 minutes for them to bring us the menu.
However, with the menu in hand, we were undecided between the main course and the menu of the day, and then we asked the girl if everything (bread, soup, dish of the day, dessert) that was on the menu of the day was 100% vegan, to which she confirmed with confidence that yes and that there was no ingredients of animal origin.
We then opted for the menu and ended up waiting more than 20mins for the starters (bread, soup and drinks). Then, after more than 10 minutes after we finished the soup, I had to ask the girl if she did not want to come and pick up the dishes and I asked if the main dish was going to take as long! This time the timing was slightly better.
But after the main dish, I asked what was the dessert, to which the girl responds carob cake. She had told me earlier that everything was vegan, but out of curiosity I asked how the cake was made, to which she arrogantly replied "WITH EGGS" !!!
I politely replied that we opted for the menu of the day which was even more expensive exactly because we were told it was all vegan, including dessert, but anyway it is not? I replied I do not eat eggs! The arrogant response while she just turned her back on me was "Don't worry I'll get you something vegan," and went on without even explaining what would she bring us, whether we liked it or could even eat it.
The desserts arrived and after all this lack of clearance, I wanted to know, in my right of a paying client, what consisted of the ingredients of this dessert but I was denied its composition for not knowing what was in it!!
My wife's dessert stayed intact because it contained cinnamon powder to which she is ALLERGIC !!
In the end, the girl in the cashier who received my money, eventually turned our experience from bad to terrible! She did not apologize for the mistakes she made and instead she tried to justify herself by blaming us (clients) saying that we were not clear enough and that we had an obligation to understand the situation because they had no experience!
To conclude, I do not recommend for the bad service and if one day i return to this restaurant will be to write in the book of complaints, therefore should be denounced people working in catering who devalue, disrespect and are indifferent to food restrictions and intolerances of their customers.
Pros: Nicely decorated, interesting view.
Cons: Atleast one waitress has the worse arrogant attitu

Went here with my boyfriend a while ago. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with a gorgeous garden outside and an indoor area which makes us feel like home. The food is delightful, everyone should try the homemade bread and hummus! Also ate the puff pastry with veggie sausage stuffing. Very nice and great service too.

Good food, reasonable price. Many vegan options. The seitan, is the best I ever had, really outstanding. It's kind of slow, so if you are in a hurry.. You might want to consider it took me 1h30min to eat there, around 40 minutes waiting for the main dish. A bit faster, and I would give the 5 stars.
