Favourite restaurant in Athens - Edit
All of their pitas taste amazing and are incredibly cheap. I've tried green, yellow, red, pink and rainbow. My personal favourites were pink and green. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures because I couldn't wait to eat these delicious pitas.

The food is amazing and the prices are dirt cheap. The portions are a good size that you could have two gyros per person which is great because their menu has a load of different set gyros.

Hearty Comfort Food. Perfect for Chilly Days. - Edit
I frequented this place often when I stayed in Athens: I enjoyed the simple names of the pita wraps ("Red", "Yellow", etc.) and the crowds that came to this eatery. Although I stood in line often to order food from here, it moved quickly. I personally admired the stamina and knowledge of the staff workers, who likely know their food offerings by heart!

While your typical vegan souvlaki in Greece is the same old pita with french fries and whatever veggie they have remaining, Cookoomela offers completely “out of the norm” souvlaki options which are SOOOO TASTY it will make you go back for more and more! All vegan place serving different versions of mushroom gyros & lentil kebabs in pitas. Sauces are great and the potatoes are melt in your mouth. Also super cheap at around 2.70eur per pita. Owner was very friendly and I even got a taster potato while I was ordering. Highly recommended!

This place was great! The food was delicious and very inexpensive. The owner/manager on duty was very friendly, and gave recommendations (yellow and red pita). I am a huge mushroom fan, so I was happy. The menu says €2.90, but I got 2 pitas and an order of potato wedges and only paid €8.10. Absolute bargain, very filling, and great atmosphere in an eclectic part of town. Recommend!

Definitely worth a visit! Went here twice and got the Brown & Barbecue and the Yellow - Yellow was my fave. Food was amazing! Staff were lovely. And the owner Tony is so wonderful and so vegan! Highly recommend ☺️

We had the lentil kebab and the red Champion Gyros and both was super delicious! And the best thing: it was super cheap (~3€) but the portion isn’t small! Also the staff was very kind and there was even a woman who talked in German to us! If you’re in Athene GO HERE 🌱
