Amazing organization that hosts great events - Edit
CAA has been advocating for animals since 1998. Aside from regular fun events and meetups, they also host the enormous Twin Cities VegFest (typically held in September) and organize the Vegan Chef Challenge, which gets restaurants to be creative about adding vegan options.

Friendly and Fun - Edit
When I think of CAA, I think of friendly and fun. I've been going to their events for the last few years. They are an open and warm group that encourages people where ever they are on the plant based journey: food, lifestyle, activism.
Read moreThey have great regular dineouts and potlucks encouraging veganism. There are many volunteer opportunities including leafleting in Minneapolis. One of their main yearly events is Twin Cities Veg Fest: http://www.tcvegfest.com/
