Serves meat, vegan options available. Social enterprise café, selling a wide range of coffee and cold drinks including milkshakes and frappes, meals and light bites, and cakes and pastries. Run by the Grassmarket Community Project, and all of the profit made from purchases goes back into the charity. Vegan dishes are labelled and include breakfast, brunch, sides, mains and desserts. Open Mon-Sun 08:30-16:00.

coffee

I dropped in last week for a coffee with a friend. It’s a big, comfortable space and, although I didn’t have food, there were plenty of breakfast options available. Worth a visit.

"Coffee with a conscience"

A few vegan options, some options not even on the menu. However, they use term "ve" for both vegan and vegetarian options — I think that it means it can be made vegan by removing it swapping out an ingredient, it is not very clear though. I had a small portion of the vegan falafel and and a fresh orange juice, they were both very nice. All the profit they make goes to charity, which is a plus!
