Great for raw vegans - Edit
If you're a RAW vegan this is one of the few restaurants that have many options for you. The salads and dressings are fresh and seasoned/dressed to perfection. The banana flower salad is one of my favourites and the mock chicken (mushroom) salad is a small dish I eat every time I'm there as a starter. I also enjoyed the mango salad but unless it was just my plate, I find that either they're using green mango which is very bitter and acidic (enough to be a little painful to eat) or the mango was just too intense with the rest of its flavours. The spaghetti is also excellent, something I always come back to.
Read morePros: Very healthy, good for raw vegans, A quality, high end atmosphere , Very low prices and free cold tea.
Cons: None, it's great!

Interesting menu, good food - Edit
A good restaurant with a menu that goes well beyond the usual Vietnamese veg restaurant offerings. I had, for example, Thai style spaghetti. It's slightly more expensive than many veg places but still very good value.

Fresh food - Edit
After three days trying to eat vegan food in vegetarian friendly restaurant, we decided to go to a real vegan restaurant. We walked about 20min from Nha Trang touristic area. We were served by a very nice guy who spoke a very nice english. The menu is large and they have mock meat. We ordered a "chicken" salad that was so fresh and delicious! It came with rice/sesame crackers. As a main course I ordered a "beef" noodle soup that was delicious as well. The thing that most caught my attention was the fact that locals were eating there and the freshness of the food. I recommend it.

Cons: not so close from the touristic area, but totally

some tasty food but an exercise in frustration - Edit
I took a stroll out here from the main tourist centre - about 15 mins.
Read moreThe restaurant was half full, I was given an English menu, which, glancing at the 'local' menus seemed about a third of the size. The menu items were general titles and had no real description to be of much use.
However, I was READY! I had downloaded a few choice phrases via Google Translate! "Do you have hot noodle soup?" "What do you recommend?" "is this spicy?" that sort of thing. When I mentioned the word 'noodle, the staff looked at me as if they'd never heard that word before, discussed with each other, and then pointed to the word 'noodle' randomly throughout the menu. It was hilarious but frustrating. any further prompting was met with blank stares.
In the end, to spare everyone embarrassment, I just pointed to the pho, ate in silence and left. Phew!
I noticed that everyone who arrived at the restaurant was being given a large mug of iced tea as soon as they sat down, and without being asked for it. Apart from me that is. In the end, I pointed to the tea that the waiter was taking to the table next to mine and asked for one. What a shock it seemed to be!
It was just annoying that little things like this, a little hello, or pointing to a table where I could sit when I arrived, while other people were being greeted and shown to tables and given tea. No language proficiency is really needed for these acts of hospitality, I think...
The soup was fine, the tea was actually free for everyone, as my small bowl of pho cost 25000 (!!), but the whole experience was an exercise in frustration and as such was not an enjoyable visit, I doubt I'll go back, especially when there are cheaper, friendlier and tastier alternatives...
Cons: lack of comprehension. Far, frustrating experience, lack of hospitality and value

Cheap, wonderful and friendly staff - Edit
Although it has meat in the menu it's fake — and do make sure to order some! Shredded chicken salad is flavorful and very well seasoned. Staff speaks some English which is very rare in our experience. Two person dinner with an extra take away dish bill was $6

OK, nothing special - Edit
although the food here was OK, the portions were definitely smaller than anticipated - especially for the price. You will definitely have a cheaper and tastier meal at bo de. We are here and then went by bo de for steam buns afterwards because we weren't quite satisfied.

Cons: smaller portions, not a lot of options

Decent place but really nothing special - Edit
We arrived in Nha Trang during Tết holidays, and during that time you can buy vegetarian food only in street food stalls and in suspicious cafes with vegetarian options in tourist district. So when this restaurant was finally opened it was like gasp of fresh air. At least it had nice interior and a menu where you could really choose something.
Read moreBut after some time it was clear that it was more like sigh rather than full breath. There were a lot of options on the menu but they all were "same same". I mean they really didn't taste different at all. So we can say they only had one or two noodle soups, one salad, one noodle etc. And also they were serving typical Vietnamese street food but it was more expensive than, for example, in Bồ Đề.
Also don't try to ask staff hard questions in English. We tried to ask one waiter (he was the best there in English in our opinion) about fish in their dishes, and the difficulties in communication were literally reflected on his face and forehead. :) Finally he just managed to say "Don't worry".
Sitting in Cô Tấm you can enjoy pictures of Buddha on the walls. And as far as I know it's the only chay place in Nha Trang where they have tableclothes. Local people also like this place so sometimes it will be hard to find a table.
As for fish sauce since it's a CHAY place I think you shouldn't worry about that. They only have fake "fish sauce". Like we had bánh xèo, and it was served with some type of vinegar water. As for milk and animal ingredients I think it will be difficult for you to ask, so if you're vegan you should eat there at your own risk. :)
Pros: Tasty local food, Nice interior, English menu
Cons: Little variety in dishes, Distance from tourist district, Staff aren't good in English

Yummy and amazingly cheap - Edit
Went here after seeing other reviews on trip advisor. Staff were very helpful when it came to telling us which dishes had fish sauce and eggs. They were attentive and friendly, and tried hard with their English. Between two of us we ordered 4 dishes and mineral water. Bill came to less than £3.50 in total! Same price as our return taxis!!

Off the beaten path. Mostly locals. The food is very good, the restaurant is clean and the service is great. Three entrees and two drinks was 103 Dong - just under $5 for two people.

Good food - Edit
Serves the best vegetarian food in Nha Trang, especially if you want to sit down in a restaurant rather than a food stall.
Read moreBoth times we visited it was very busy indeed with local people. The menu was available in English and the staff spoke some English too.
Not a huge menu but plenty to choose from. Excellent salads, banh xeo, tofu dishes, rice, noodles etc, all very tasty and good portion size.
Pros: Nice interior

They use fish sauce in some dishes - Edit
My partner and I went here and were given a Vietnamese menu instead of English. We found an English menu and checked to see what we ordered and realized that we had ordered a fish sauce hotpot and asked for a different dish. They had already made our fish sauce hotpot but made another one for us. We offered to pay for both but they only made us pay for one. The Thai hotpot we got was very flavoursome and filling.
Read moreStaff were very friendly, spoke little English, but if you get the English menu it doesn't really matter. If a dish contains fish sauce it will say so on the menu.
Otherwise the meals were very cheap and were made very quickly.

Nice restaurant - Edit
I went here in Feb 2010. My friend and I found the food to be really good quality and tasty. We had crispy tofu, a mango salad and pancakes with sprouts. This place is excellent value for money and worth the walk.

Limited Menu - Edit
I found the menu limited in choices. The food we ordered was tasty but unfortunately every dish was covered in coriander which detracted from the taste of the food. We ordered mineral water which was stated on the menu but received soda water. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly. Frequented by Vietnamese.

be careful - they use fish sauce!!! - Edit
I went to this restaurant 3 times in 3 days, I tried other 2 in Nha Trang, but this was the best. Until I found out they are using real fish sauce! I just felt a taste of fish in the sauce they provided for the rice pancake, so I asked if it was fish sauce and the answer was yes. They apologized and I payed and went away.... Be aware!

Nice get-away - Edit
This small little restaurant, not very hard to find, but 15 minutes walk from the tourist areas in Nha Trang. Since both me and my girlfriend prefer vegan food we headed for this restaurant. We were greeted and although they do not speak english, we felt welcomed. The food was very cheap, around $1 per dish and very tasty. We had 4 dishes and our favourite was the tofu-noodles and the noodle soup (cant recall the name).

Lovely little family restaurant.. - Edit
Out the tourist area and well worth the trip a few blocks from the beach hotels (35 000 VND by air-con taxi - $2). Tomorrow I rent a bicycle for 25 000 dong for the day - easy to cycle to.
Read moreGood tasty food from a small menu- I had the curry (I asked for rice instead of bread) and crumbed and deep fried tofu and cauliflower. Tomorrow I am going to try the rice crepe and some other things from the menu. I'll keep going back as long as I'm in town.
A comfortable friendly atmosphere with nice interior. Busy with families, lots of Buddhist monks and nuns which is nice, couples and a few people on their own (including me). Not a lot of english spoken but they made the effort and even helped me to get a taxi after my meal(it was dark). A few Vietnamese people I spoke to said it's the best veggie restaurant in town and I won't argue with that - in my opinion it would be hard to beat.
Pros: clean, relaxed, polite staff
