I booked here as one review showed special vegan menu. When I arrived, and asked if the vegetarian mean section (same as vegan menu in the review) could be made vegan, I was surprised disappointed to find out that only morning glory, sambal okra (however sambal contains meat) or pk choi could be made vegan. I'm sorry, but non these sound like a main course dish. As a sharing plate, of course, but not a main meal. The following 3 dishes on the vegetable menu can't be vegan as the vegetarian soya chicken contains milk (really unsure of how milk makes the soya taste better).
Read moreThe waitress adviced I could have mee goreng, but not pad thai. When a different male staff came to take our order he said I can't have mee goreng. He then suggested I could have pad thai. We also ordered the puffed tofu, and the waiter asked me if I'm OK with egg. We ordered it without the egg, and when it arrived, it was a plate of shredded veggies with peanut butter sauce and big chunks of plain tofu. This could've been such a better salad if you made the tofu taste of the sauce and on smaller pieces.
Unfortunately if you're vegan, and of course, unless you you're fine with their vegan offerings, go ahead, but if you too thought you can have the mock meat dishes, I'd say give this place a miss.
There are some better Asian restaurants that cater for vegan.
