Bland Soup - Edit
Quite large restaurant with nice interior design with lots of plants. The music was classics like For Once In My Life by Stevie Wonder.
Read moreI had the pumpkin soup and Fresh pasta stuffed with forest mushrooms. Unfortunately I did not really like them. The soup was bland and the pasta sauce tasted strange to me somehow.

Amazing Krafin - Edit
Only stopped in for a Krafin treat but wish I could have stayed for lunch. Lovely little spot! Lots of options for the krafins and pastries. Went for almond and peach which was so good!

i didnt like it - Edit
the only thing i liked from the 6 dishes i tried was the soup. i had much higher expectations. the pasta especially was weird tasting with a lot of fennel and breadcrumbs that were the texture and taste of brown sugar...
Read morethe mushroom starter had very salty chewy mushrooms
anyway, nothing was right, the desserts were also not to my taste, it is super expensive but a very small menu for dinner.

The best Vegan eatery in Prague - Edit
Visited with my family here for lunch on a short trip to Prague and I have to say all the food was fresh, interesting and delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. Top marks for Chutnej !

Top Gnocci! - my favorite restaurant in Prague - Edit
When you enter the restaurant you come into a nicely decorated room with a lot of plants and dimmed light. The ideal setting for a nice meal.
Read moreAs starter I choose the "mozerella like cheese"- the mozarella was a bit firm, but taste was good and the accompanying bread was grilled with a splash of high quality olive oil. Very tasty.
As a drink a tried the homemade-fermented-lemonade, verfreshing combination of little bit sweet, bit more sour taste.
Main dish was the Gnocci, and the taste of this dish was out of this world. It was a long time ago that I was so impressed with a dish! Fresh gnocci, slightly roasted on the outside and served with freshly grilled vegetables and a very, very good pesto. What a great combination of flavours! I wish I could eat it again!

Very good quality - Edit
First restaurant tested in Prague, after a long hike on a steep slope, I arrive on this restaurant, where I received a great welcome.
Read moreI tasted well-cooked, melting gnocchi with pistachios and parmesan, a delight for the taste buds.
For dessert, a good tiramisu and a good kraffin!
The decoration is very plant-based and soothing!
Viennoiseries and pastries such as croissants and pains au chocolats!

Wonderful! - Edit
I went here with 3 friends, 1 a hardcore meat-eater. All of us loved the vegan Chutnej Burgers we had. The fries were totally legit, too -- very satisfying. And the Tiramisu was also incredibly satisfying. We also all loved the Kambucha, which was super flavorful. The service was wonderful, and the waiter was also way friendly -- always with a sincere smile.

Good food - Edit
I ordered the granola with yogurt bowl and a raspberry cruffin. My boyfriend ordered the pancakes. Everything was good. The yogurt was a bit bitter for my taste (maybe due to the dandelion honey), but my boyfriend liked it.

All vegan, good food (though slightly underwhelming) - Edit
I like that it's all vegan. They didn't have two items on the menu that I wanted to order though and the Schnitzel was a bit underwhelming (which doesn't mean that it's bad). Monte was pretty good.

Good ideas but execution can be a bit hit and miss - Edit
I've been going to Chutnej since they first opened as a pizza and burger place and love how they have evolved over the years. The krafin bakery is great and was a desperately needed addition to the Prague vegan scene. I like that they're trying to do more upmarket vegan food when no one else in Prague really is whilst still keeping the pizzas going via Hot Plants.
Read moreI've been to the most recent iteration of the restaurant a couple of times for weekend brunch and had specials. I haven't tried the new regular menu yet. The first time they had a mushroom skewer/kebab thing on with salad, flatbread and hummus. This was very good on the whole, especially when you got some charred bits on the mushrooms. My partner and I also got a plate of pancakes to share which were good. I went for brunch again this weekend and was disappointed. They had a goulash on and the sauce didn't pack a good flavour and the meat pieces were really small. I also got an apple strudel for dessert. This came out stone cold and the filling just felt like eating a raw cake. The pastry was soggy and it was served with a bit of warm custard. I don't understand why the custard was warm but the strudel was not. It was so bad that I didn't even finish it. The Brazilian lemonade was very tasty at least.
Service wasn't great today either, it was difficult to get anyone's attention and we had to go to the counter to order dessert.
I'll go back and definitely try more things and hope that they are more hit than miss.

Very very good - Edit
We had the iced matcha with potato milk. Pancakes was unbelievable. The omelet was extremely seasoned with so much flavor. The cruffin, raspberry with cream inside was the best. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come here again.

The café is very nicely furnished, with lots of plants and beautiful decorations. The menu is very appealing, I opted for a bread, which was very tasty. The little Krafin were a dream in all 3 flavours.

Perfect Brunch Menu - Edit
We came to Chutnej for a take-away breakfast which we then ate in the close-by Letna Park.
Read moreTheir brunch menu is really appealing, everything looked pretty nice. We finally decided for the Mungo Omelette, which was overwhelmingly good. Probably the best plant-based egg-related dish I ever had!
We also took some pastries and a tiramisu to go which were really tasty as well.
Next time we definitely wanna try out eating in the restaurant itself, because the interior looked super cozy, decorated with tons of plants. Service was also very friendly.
All in all, a truly lovely and amazing restaurant!

Flavourful and interesting - Edit
We got the antipasti plate, the agnolotti, the peach salad.
Read moreAt first glance you might think the dishes look plain, but they were so flavourful. Everything on the antipasti plate was delicious, even the carrots weren't just plain carrots, everything was full of flavour.
The agnolotti was delicious. I'm not usually a salad person but it was covered in dressing and every mouthful was interesting, no boring lettuce at all.
Tiramisu was the favourite though, perfect texture and not so sweet you feel sick afterwards.
We were also given a free chocolate krafin as we were leaving, I assume because it was the end of the night and they weren't going to sell it and omg it was so good.
Our waiter with the tattoos was so lovely too. Definitely recommend Chutnej

Best vegan restaurant in Prague! - Edit
Amazing food! Slightly out of the city centre but well worth the walk! Definitely the best vegan restaurant we went to.
Read moreWe had a trio of starters - seasonal mushrooms, sauerkraut croquettes, and antipasti which featured local vegan cheese. They were all delicious, but the mushrooms particularly were really good!
The staff were very friendly too! They were kind enough to include an extra croquette for us as they weren’t able to do the two portions of croquettes we had initially ordered 🙏

And I didn't see lasagne on the menu, so I couldn't try the dish all the reviews here are raving about. Maybe it's a seasonal thing?
