Delicious noodles

Chin Burger at their previous location was a huge favourite of mine, so I'm comparing it to the food at the new location. They added a vegan burger option to the menu, which we were very excited about, but the Chin Burger with tofu was rather dry and bland, with no sauce to speak of and just a lonely iceberg lettuce leaf as garnish. My friend's non-vegan fried egg version was apparently equally boring so it's not just a vegan thing. The smashed cucumber salad, however, is still an absolute stunner - different sauce than before, less tangy but excellent in a new way; slightly spicier too I think. The star dish, the Noodles formerly known as Tsula Tsula™, is also slightly different now and comes with a spoonful of steamed carrot and celery, which adds nothing- I'd much rather have more of the cabbage and bok choy. The noodles and chilli oil are still really, really good though. The new vegan noodle dish, spinach noodles with eggplant, is okay but not outstanding with (and I can't believe I'm saying this) maybe too much sauce? It swallowed up all the other flavours and made it a very one-note dish.
Overall I'm excited to see more options for vegans on the menu and will definitely be back!

Pros: Tasty chewy noodles, additional vegan options, best cucumbers in the business

Cons: Bland burgers, lack of vegan labelling

Hey, thanks for the detailed review. Are all these dishes already vegan or do you have to ask them to make them vegan?

Great szechuan food

I‘ve come here often and always loved the food. My favourites are the Tsula Tsula noodles, Liang Pi with sesame oil and Mapo Tofu - all vegan.
The Restaurant moved to Friesenplatz 11 in September 25

Happy happy Place

Such a wonderful place. One of the best restaurants ever for me. We had cucumber salad, fried eggplants and soup with handmade noodles. One better then the other. Mouthwatering! Will come back soon. #Veganuary

Best Asian noodles in Cologne

The hand pulled noodles are insane. E7 Tsula Tsula Chilli noodles can be made vegan and they are fantastic, the serving is gigantic and super spicy!

Best hand-pulled noodles in town!!

There are plenty of dishes that are or can be made vegan, but the tsula tsula (biang biang) noodles are the unrivalled star of the menu. The cucumber salad is also sensational.

The "warm cuisine" section of the menu is not nearly as delicious as the noodle dishes (and pretty expensive in comparison). Always go for the hand-pulled noodles first!
