Best vegan breakfast!

This is the best full vegan breakfast we have ever had. We had the tofu scramble with bacado and the shnitzel waffle benechick. There are so many options and they serve breakfast all day! We will be going back to try other menu items.

Too much to choose from!

The breakfast was amazing, almost too any options, a bit on the cold side as there was only one waiter working and he kept taking text breaks.

Pros: The whole menu is vegan, All day breakfast

Cons: The service was terrible , The food wasn't the hottest

Chickpeas food is absolutely 5/5!

Love the food, absolutely amazing! Have only been to the sit down restaurant once after being to the food truck many times. The staff at at the brick and mortar leaves so much to be desired. Our server had the personality of the white crayon that never gets used. They was quite abrasive and rude, it felt like we were inconveniencing her to be there. It was a really unfortunate experience but according to the google reviews, it’s not an uncommon one. If you prefer to get decent service, go to the truck if you can.

Impressive!

There were so many delicious sounding dishes on the menu that I'm going to have to go back at least 10 times! My Truffled N'Oyster Platter was fabulous, and the chickpea fries are unbelievably good! Crunchy on the outside, soft inside, and high in protein. Oh my! #Veganuary

The power of chickpea

If the world is coming to an end and I can only order one dish from one restaurant. It has to be Chickpea.(I’m being pragmatic here)

Superb taste and a generous portion! Tofu scramble and pancakes were delightful.

Vegan Mediterranean yes

I love love love Israeli food and to have a fully vegan Israeli restaurant is a dream! The portions are huge here! I wanted to do the “little bit of everything” option but they request everyone at the table get it and it’s super huge so I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to handle that! I ordered eggplant-based tapas and was delighted. Bright atmosphere, friendly staff, great location, great food.

Awesome place

I think this is a really cool place to come to with a small group, because the portions are pretty big and their drinks are delicious. The food was really good (I had the latkes benechick) and chai latte was to die for. The atmosphere was also amazing and I was happy to see they asked for proof of vaccine which made me feel safe. A must try!

Great food

All-day breakfast menu! My first ever visit, I had the fabulous Latkes Benechick with the avocado topping option. Very generous serving, enough for two meals. Mounds of scrambled tofu atop tasty potato latke/fritters, and a good salad with light vinaigrette. Another time, I went for the Happy Hour menu, enjoying a jar of beer and the signature Chickpea Fries (filling). The Malawach is good too, another satisfying meal. On my most recent visit, I had the Chickcheeze Sandwich, which was excellent! Delicious. Comes with hash browns and salad. This meal takes a bit longer to prepare.
Still making my way through the menu...

Simply the best

I’ve been lucky in the past to travel to Vancouver for work quite frequently. Even luckier, that the Chickpea truck used to be a half block from our rental office. Not sure how many times I’ve had lunch there, but it’s a lot.

We managed to get there for breakfast this morning (although I’ve been to the restaurant a few times now too). I have to say the food is fantastic. Everything is just so flavourful, and the quality standard is high. I’ve never once thought that the food wasn’t quite as good as the last time.

The shakshuka and the falafel are my go to’s, and after missing this place for over a year that’s what my wife and I shared today. But really you can’t go wrong.

Pros: So many options, The falafel, Chickpea fries and spicy sauce

Amazing food!

Such a wonderful service and food. The waitress who served us was super friendly and made us feel super comfortable. The quantity was much more than expected, I think you will never leave there hungry 😅😂
No more to say, just go there and try. Loved it!
Price is good, not cheap and not crazy expensive.

The best vegan food in the city!

This is my favorite restaurant in Vancouver. I love their concept of choosing a main and then making it into whatever type of platter you want, I love the sides that you can share with friends, their homemade kefir and baklava. This restaurant was the one that showed me that vegan food could be amazing.

The staff is super nice and welcoming, the place has such nice decorating. The menus are a bunch of old children storybooks turned menus, and the restaurant has plants everywhere, wooden tables and blackboards for the drinks. Very hipster.

Any plate is delicious, but my personal recommendations are the baba ganoush with a side of chickpea fries (ask for no sauce if you’re getting it with the ganoush), the bacon benedict, the shawarma platter and my favorite, the kasum platter; a delicious mix of cauliflower and mushrooms with a creamy onion sauce. Everything is so well spiced and delicious. If it was cheaper, I’d eat there everyday.

Go to chickpea! You won’t regret it!

Pros: All vegan , Delicious food , Nice Decor

Cons: A tad expensive

Amazing

I can'tt believe it took us so long to get here. The food was so good and our service was even better. Our server, Ethan, was attentive, helpful and honest and the best part of our evening was when he asked the random smoker on the street to move on as we were eating our food on the patio. Nothing could top that. We wk be back the next time we are in Vancouver.

Just what you want for lunch!

I've been to the Chickpea food truck several times as it is conveniently located to where I work.
The food is awesome, super filling, lots of fresh leaves in all the meals. I highly recommend the pita - it's so soft! Oh, and the fries are fluffy, you have to try them.
For someone who doesn't eat honey and seaweed, this place offers a clearly "no fuss" menu.
The downside is that if you are sensitive to oil (like I am) I'd avoid the "beyond meat", hummus and the fries. Other than that, the Shawarma, Shnitzelonim, Kasum and Sabich are all amazing.

Been to the restaurant a few times now, highly recommend the Malawach and the Falafels! My gosh the puff pastry was amazing, I have been missing this texture and flavour for a while and man, I'm coming back for it next time. The falafels are one of the nicer ones I have ever had as I find them normally too dry and crumbly and tasteless - these ones though had a nice crunch, texture, flavour and colour. Nicely done!

The Latkes Benechick are a different story, the "crispy potato foundation" was not good, texture and flavour was confusing, didn't like the chickpeas in there either (think that their were 2 different types of potato things). The "eggs" were nothing like I imagined, the sauce was too thick and rich, after the first few bites it became a bit too much. Overall, I left over 50% of this meal uneaten - it was an experience though.

Had something different, the waffle benechicks - really enjoyed this one, loved the waffle! Don't need the maple syrup though, too sweet.

Ordered the chocolate tort as well, it's not in a slice like I saw in the other photos, instead, it was like a mini cheesecake. For the price, it was small but very rich (possibly dark chocolate which I love), the whipped cream that it came with was fabulous, so light, so delicious - it was better than the tort!

The Chickebab pita was delicious, loved the texture and taste, but the fried onions were the same temperature as the salad - cold, we were expecting it to be hot.

Pros: Great food, atmosphere

Cons: Too oily if you have sensitive stomach.
