A Disappointing End to Our First Night in Rome

After a long, delayed flight and arriving in Rome hungry and tired, we were relieved to find a restaurant that appeared to be open about an hour before closing. Unfortunately, our experience there soured the evening and left us with a bad impression.

Upon arrival, we were not greeted at the door. Instead, we stood in line for about ten minutes as other patrons settled their bills. When it was finally our turn, we asked if they were still serving food. The manager or owner curtly replied "no," without any further explanation or courtesy. This abrupt and rude response left us feeling unwelcome and disheartened.

As our first night in Rome, we had high hopes for a warm and hospitable dining experience, especially given our fatigue and hunger from the travel delays. Sadly, this restaurant’s poor treatment and lack of basic hospitality marred what should have been a pleasant evening.

While Rome itself is a beautiful city, this experience has unfortunately put a damper on our visit. It’s unlikely that we will return to this establishment, and it has certainly influenced our overall impression of the city. We hope future dining experiences in Rome will be more positive.

Good vegan option(s)

Food was tasty and the price was good. I ordered a nice size vegetable pinsa and it cost 8€.

Pros: Good portion size

Cons: Not that many options

Fantastic

This restaurant had an atmosphere straight out of an Italian love film. The service is very nice and fast, but the best part is the food. Every dish is very lovely made and looks a little bit different than you know it. Their are not so many vegan options that’s why we only give 4 from 5 but the rest is perfect. Will come again when I’m back in Rom.
