Great shepards pie! - Edit
We came here twice when staying in Hemsby, it was so worth it! They have a vegan specials board with maid and some vegan deserts too. We had the delicious shepards pie, huge portion and great price! Staff were very friendly and nice atmosphere, would highly recommend!

Lovely old fashioned spit and sawdust type pub. The food is freshly cooked, exactly what you want/expect.
Read moreSo far I've eaten smokey vegan chilli, cauliflower and red pepper curry and lasagne. All exactly what I needed - comfort food after cycling.
Off peak season mid week the menu is restricted and there's early closing so please check to avoid disappointment.
Pros: Fresh, real, chunky chips., Decent choices for vegans., Wide choice of local beers.
Cons: Check mid week opening hours.

We visited on a Saturday lunch time. They were very welcoming. The vegan menu was on a separate board which I was shown to when I asked what their options were. It was lovely to see lots of options and some that were different to the usual mainstream stuff. I had the shepherd's pie which was so good! My partner had the burger which was OK. Will definitely visit again. They also do the shepherd's as part of their carvery which we plan to visit. A real bonus that they are dog friendly too. They also have a lovely garden with sea views. Thank you.

Very welcoming pub, with separate vegan menu and very dog friendly - Edit
This was a great find thanks to Happy Cow. There is a separate vegan menu (on a board), which isn't on the main menu, so be sure to ask! We both opted for the Shepherd's Pie and it was very tasty! The portion sizes were big and the waitress even kindly offered to blend some food for our daughter, who has a disability. Our dog was welcomed warmly and they even serve a dog roast dinner on a Sunday!

Like the fact they have a vegan menu. Had the keralan cauliflower and red pepper curry which was very tasty. Hubby had the vegan shepherd’s pie which he also enjoyed.

We had a nice pub lunch here on a Sunday. I had the Shepherds pie and chose to have carvery veg with it. They offered veggie gravy too which was a great addition. Nice to see plenty of vegan options. 3 curries though! Even a vegan option on the kids menu (Sausages) which my son had. Busy on a Sunday so book in advance.
