Cafe turtle has some excellent cake, nice drinks, and bingsu in the summer.
Read moreSome cakes are better than others, but overall the quality, appearance and variety makes them one of the best bakeries in Seoul. Best cakes are the tarts, lemon meringue, and mint choco. I think the lemon meringue is one of the top 5 desserts in Seoul.
Other cakes like the salted caramel are way too sweet for my personal taste.
There are 2 flavors of bingsu, pat and mango. Both are very good.
Recently they added bagels and cream cheese to their menu. The bagels are decent, albeit a little too soft and sweet, but unfortunately the cream cheese is all sweet. Even the flavors like jalapeno and onion. I think the fig cream cheese would be great on desserts like cinnamon rolls and strudels, but I was really disappointed about the cream cheese.
The interior of the cafe is quite pretty and has quite a few tables, but its extremely popular so it can be difficult to get a table, especially around dinner time.

The BEST bakery in Seoul! - Edit
At least the best that I've been to. If you've been envious of all the beautiful baked goods at the omni cafes in Seoul, be envious no longer because this place outdoes them all! The cakes are beautiful, creatively flavored and most importantly, super indulgent! Not a healthy crumb in sight, you come here for a cakey good time! The price reflects the quality, but you will absolutely not regret buying out the whole case!

Alright, this is my second time I've come to this place this week and each time, I've grabbed the last available table. People have to leave because there's no available seating! How is that the case on a Wednesday night AND a Sunday afternoon?! Very impressive.

I am so glad I dont like too close to this place. We split 3 cakes between 2 of us to sample more of the menu. Everything was great. It was quiet at 1pm but packed by the time we left at 2pm. They do a great job of making the flavor burst out of the cake.

This vegan cafe offers pastries, tarts and cakes that look very pretty - you couldn't tell the difference to non-vegan patisserie just by the look of it. (The taste is different though.)

This time was the 2nd time I went there.
Read moreAs last time the staff was very friendly. The cake selection is not that big but the ones I tried were pretty good (last time pistachio raspberry, this time carrot muffin and pumpkin tart).
The cafe itself is an open square with limited seat selection. Even though if all places are (unfortunately, there are not that many) taken it doesnt feel crowded. It was (this time) quite noisy but not that you cant have a conversation (i guess the noise level is also dependent on the people who are there).
The interior design feels woody (does this word even exist? Haha) and leafy, a touch of jungle I would say.
While ordering at the counter you can that the place in which they bake the goods is basically behind the counter. The two times i have been there weekday evening and weekend lunch), someone was preparing goods.
This place is somehow affiliated with Nammi Plant restaurant which is literally a 2 min walk away. The staff seems to work interchangeably between the 2 places (there was also a 10% discount during June if you came to the cafe after you have eaten at the restaurant but that wasn't the case anymore when I went there in July).
All in all, I personally like the place, a wider selection of goods might be nice (I think the whole selection wasnt available the times I went there, because they seem to display the goods in form of a plastic model in the glas tray but not all of the ones there were, were avaialble), (as always) prices are quite high in comparism to normal bakeries (but, unfortunately, I guess thats normal for vegan food, still hoping secretly for a cheap began desert cafe, haha) and seat selection is limited but I liked the cakes I tried, am willing to pay a little more and always got a seat when I went there.
Will go again! :)
