Almost all the food is vegan, with the exception of a few drinks that contain honey and pollen (ask which ones). Part of the the Cafe Gratitude brand originating from San Francisco - its second Los Angeles location. Menu features both raw food as well as cooked meals, vegan desserts and raw pies. Trendy, beach vibe and busy at mealtime. Also offers breakfast until 1pm which includes pancakes, waffles, and french toast. Open Mon-Sun 9:00am-9:00pm.

Best brunch! - Edit
We went to 2 Cafe Gratitude locations while we were visiting LA. Both were great! The food is delicious, unique, and served quickly. They had fun non alcoholic drinks and smoothies as well. We really appreciated that they were open daily and early enough to accommodate our travel plans. I’m excited to go back next time I’m in LA!

Drool worthy vegan meals - Edit
Love this place. The first time I came here, I had the I am Loving entree with wild rice, yams, fried brussel sprouts and guacamole. It’s a large portion and I couldn’t finish it. I came here again for lunch and had the I am Liberated (raw kelp noodle bowl with a side of mushroom carnitas) and really enjoyed it, loved the addition of arugula too! Also had the Yo Soy Fuerte wrap me omg it was amazing, really happy our server recommended it! It made me think of a crunch wrap supreme but better. The desserts are excellent too, I suggest the almond butter square and the walnut chocolate chunk cookie. Great service too!

Amazing food - Edit
This is one of my favorite vegan restaurants in California! I got the new I am awesome eggplant parmigiana sandwich yesterday and ohmygod it was so so good!! A very heavy meal for sure but so worth it! I’d maybe get it with the side salad instead of fries in the future to even out the meal a little haha!

Nice Place! - Edit
Really loved having so many choices on the menu, and that I went with friends so we could share a bunch of stuff! We all really enjoyed it. Only bummer was they were out of flan for dessert, but we were there late so totally understandable. Guess that just means I’ll have to go back again for it!

Cafe Gratitude - Edit
The buffalo cauliflower is so delicious...and it isn't even fried. I got the gratitude salad with the dressings on the side and really loved it, as it was filled with arugula, quinoa, green beans, tomatoes, avocado, and vegan cheese. Nice healthy meals to be had here.

Perfect - Edit
Ended a long run here and chilled out on the patio with an AMAZING vegan burrito with mushroom carnitas and home fries and a mocha. Could see myself happily working my way through the whole menu. Service was helpful and food arrived quickly. Will be a go to stop every visit to LA.

Used to be good - Edit
It used to be one of my LA favs. Then it was just controversy after controversy. The Landmark Education debacle in 2009 and the Engelhart's slaughtering of animals in 2016. They let so many people down. The food feels very clean which is good. But the restaurant is 100% not vegan as they use honey. The atmosphere is good. The staff seems to turnover a lot. I know they do a lot of business and make a lot of money, but there are certainly a lot of us who just can't past the fact that they now slaughter animals on the farm.

True Intentional Vegan Food - Edit
When is this place not perfection?
Read moreThe menu is so excellent has so much care put into it. It’s the kind of thing where you know they truly care about each dish and ingredient and never serve something that wasn’t fully intentional.
The vibe is also great, and has plenty of outdoor seating for covid times. Staff is always the kindest.
PS If anyone has the recipe for the ashwaganda latte hmu

Upscale Vegan Diner with an Odd Hippie Patois - Edit
I enjoy this cozy spot. It's often kind of loud and full of a certain sort of rich people, but the food and drinks are nice, and the waitstaff is very good. The puttanesca pasta is so tasty, and they make a fine eggplant sandwich. I am not much of a Mediterranean food guy, but they also make a decent mezze plate. Overall, their food has a nice balance of flavors that's pleasantly different from what I am used to. I also love the lattes and the apple-rich apple cake!

Wonderful spot, had a delicious breakfast and they made me a Mickey Mouse pancake. Had the tofu scramble with potatoes and toast. Homemade strawberry jam (didn’t need the added sugar). Also had a fresh juice and a muffin to go.

Still great - Edit
Cafe Gratitude seems like it's been around forever and still feels pretty new. Absolutely love the store in Venice which is always buzzing with great energy and amazing looking people! Even though it's a little pricey, the servings are big and you often leave with leftovers. I love all the bowls, and don't forget about the incredible desserts. I know they are not low calorie, but they are so good!

Really good healthy vegan food. Celebrity sights too. Ask for the sauces on the side though. Very oily and heavy sauces imho.

Tasty 😋 - Edit
I love the kelp pesto noodles here (doesn’t taste oceanic at all, for anyone who’s never tried kelp noodles). This place is a bit pricey, but great! Just don’t go for a seated meal if you are in a hurry, because they have some of the slowest service ever. Friendly, but so slow...
