A small corner is dedicated to selling esoteric-related products; esoteric/astrology sessions are also held from time to time. Fully vegan March 2022. Open Wed-Thu 12:00-19:00, Fri 12:00-18:00, Fri-Sat 19:00-22:00, Sat 11:00-19:00, Sun 12:00-18:00. Closed Mon-Tue. Food served between 12-2.30pm Wed-Fri, 11am-3pm on Sat. The rest is Tea Time.

J'adore le Contresort, si je pouvais j'y passerais des après-midi entières toutes les semaines ! Les boissons et les plats sont savoureux et créatifs, les portions généreuses, et le menu change à chaque saison pour plus de surprises. Les proches à qui je l'ai fait découvrir ont toustes été convaincu·es par l'ambiance et la carte. J'y reviens avec plaisir parce que je sais que je vais bien (et beaucoup ) manger, et je m'y sens toujours bien accueillie et safe. Les personnes qui ont fondé cet espace et qui y travaillent mettent clairement beaucoup d'âme et d'amour dans ce qu'iels font. Qu'on se sente proche ou non de l'univers des sorcières, le Contresort vaut le détour !

This place has a great atmosphere, decor is so nice, you step in, it feels like you’re in a tea room frequented by witches. My husband even said “this is the kinda place that makes me feel like I should apologise for being a man” and he’s right! Run by queer people, it’s a safe place where everybody can be themselves. Besides, the food is pretty great! We had the salty churros and babayaga, both pretty tasty. Maybe portions could be slightly bigger for 17 euros. But flavours are definitely there. Drinks are geniusly designed, nice colours and glitters in everything, you do feel like drinking up potions 🧪 #Veganuary

Read moreMake sure you make reservations. There are a lot of rules to follow too be able to book your table but you won’t regret. It can be very crowdy in there. I asked for a savoury, a sweet and a drink to their choice and they came up with a skull pastry filled with tofu and mushrooms, a peanutbutter cake and a gingerdrink. The cake was fabulous, the pastry good and awesome looking and the drink was good. Love their theme vibe.

Read moreThe decor is very special, a mixture between magique, witches and hand reading. Even the menu is in line with their theme!
The menu might change in order to surprise your taste buds.
We took the “chaudron” and the “”Baba Yaga” toast. Both dishes where nicely presented.
The Toast was packed with different flavors, very creamy and paired very well with fresh potato salad on the side.
The chaudron was also very flavorful, with the curcuma spiced flavored rice, the grilled chickpea had a nice bite and well spiced too, but not very handy to eat out of this recipient…
For the sweet tooth, enough options to pair with very original warm and cold beverages.
For some creativity we went for the red berries sponge cake with Matcha creamy frosting. Unfortunately, the matcha needs to be perfectly measured, otherwise, it has a very grassy taste, which was the case here 😅

We got there for lunch. We loved the ambiance and the niceness of the staff. The flavors of the meal was a bit disappointing though the look was witchy and funny. I would recommend going there for an afternoon tea because the drinks and the cakes were definitely the star of the show. Not only looking but also tasty awesome.

The menu consists of 5 dishes (no appetizers), like a buckwheat risotto, a burrito or a savory waffle.

Everything we had was yummy.
It was good we made a reservation because the place was full during lunchtime.
So, I'd recommend you also book a table in advance.
Note that the place is run by two people, one cooking and the other serving the tables, so you may need to be a little bit patient. But they are nice and friendly, so you do feel welcomed!

A breathtaking decoration in the style of Harry Potter and sorcery of white magic.
There are also some business cards from the L'esprit du cauldron shop that I also visited this summer.
I was able to discover this magical place presented by two adorable kind witches, Mathilde and Eloise in the kitchen, who prepared a crazy menu full of surprises for us!
- Alcoholic cocktails or not, more than 10 very interesting choices!
- equally original teas or coffee with oat or almond milk.
- 5 very hearty and colorful dishes that really make you want to taste them!
- 9 desserts, with or without gluten that make your taste buds tingle!
We remain enchanted throughout the tasting!
I took waffles glutenfree and a delicious black sesame roll!
My guests were able to take the other dishes and I was able to take pictures of some of the other customers' dishes!
In short, a magical place and a variety of savory and sweet dishes as interesting as they are hearty!
Congratulations to this concept which allows to be highlighted!

The place is cosy in a shabby chic way, the witchcraft-themed beverages are original and burst with flavours; the owners only use plant milks and try to incorporate as many vegan cakes as possible to their menu. They feature a new signature cupcake every month, we tried the Gemeaux ♊ and loved it.
