The crumble consists of a dark berry compote on the bottom and buttery crumbles on top, fresh and hot out of the oven. So comforting.
The tarte was perfect - rich, nutty, sweet. Although they work without refined sugar I think? Awesome.

Lots of Vegan Options but on the Pricier Side - Edit
The menu was not huge, but had enough good vegan options (soup, salad, sandwiches). Service was extremely quick, but I do second the review that mentioned that staff seemed annoyed/sad? (I hope they're ok!).

I thought the prices were a bit high (€15 for a salad, €4.80 for a coffee with milk) but it's nice for a treat, especially since it's a central location in the city.

Besides the big selection home baked vegan and non-vegan cakes, there’s also enough savory choices for vegetarians and vegans. The vegan Dutch apple pie was almost as good as my mom makes it 😏

I shared a salad and a sandwich with my partner, the toppings are the stars of the food! Unfortunately my black rice in the Eastern Salad was a little too much al-dente for me, and I would have loved the carrots to be roasted a little bit more.

The broccoli and lentil bitterballen were served with a tasty mustard. I enjoyed the Eastern Salad, but would have preferred the carrots to be raw instead of cooked. The decadent Ferrero Rocher cake was made of cocoa, coconut, nuts, and dates instead of refined sugar.

At By Lima your money is well spent. When ordering a sandwich you get 2 thick slices of bread with a bunchload of toppings. Awesome. Cakes and coffee are also very good.

Read moreIt's a pretty popular place tho' so don't even think of coming here on Saturdays after the swap meet, it was so crowded with so many people waiting that we had to leave.
So that's the only caveat for this place, it has a prime location and is quite inexpensive and very popular.
Good juices, a good vegan salad and that amazing tomato soup would bring us back.

Such a lovely little bright cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Delicious vegan breakfast which was a matcha latte and mango/lime ‘triffle’ layered with fruit, soya yogurt, chia pudding and cashew/coconut granola, topped with fruit and flowers. Was sooo good and a lovely vibe to the cafe.
