The food was lovely, we were most impressed by the seafood paella and the cheese platter, however, the second round of drinks were awful. One tasted like water (Morgana), one of lime juice (Moscow mule) and the third was a chemical concoction that tasted like petrol (Lola). We asked to send them back and have aperol spritz instead. The waiter returned with more alcohol in the same drinks and then tried to charge us when we said we didn’t want them. He offered us free shots but did not want to remove them from the bill even though we had returned them and refused the shots. Two members of the wait staff tried to argue that we should pay and that all three of us had bad taste buds. Very badly handled and ruined what was a lovely evening.

Honestly, it's not fair that you post such hard words on your review, given the fact that I (Roberto, the owner) was present at the time of the billing: the staff wasn't rude, your perception might have been poisoned by your expectations but one can't just state, using your words, "this taste like petrol" and pretend that we just assume you are right. Taste is personal, the same drinks sell normally since ages, with no complaints. As you mentioned, we removed the drinks you didn't want from the bill but, forgive me if we strongly believe in our work, we do not agree that they were horrible.

I had three different items across two visits - the gnocchi, stuffed peppers and paella. The gnocchi was OK, the stuffed peppers good and the paella very good. The drinks were great. I enjoyed my beer and cocktail. The overall vibe and friendly nature of the staff made up for the varying food quality. Worth a look if you’re in the area and after some tapas style food.

Read moreWe had a lovely lunch at Bubita Sangria Bar, a cozy and inviting spot with incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the service made us feel right at home.
We ordered paella, which was full of flavor and included vegan shrimps – a first for me, and a pleasant surprise! I also had a scrambled tofu toast, simple but satisfying.
We arrived around 1 PM while they were still serving the Spanish brunch menu, but the chef was kind enough to prepare the paellas fresh for us on request. That personal touch made the experience even better.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Abbiamo pranzato al Bubita Sangria Bar, un locale accogliente e curato, con uno staff davvero gentile e disponibile. L’atmosfera è rilassata e ci siamo sentiti subito a nostro agio grazie all’ottimo servizio.
Abbiamo ordinato la paella, gustosa e con una particolarità interessante: i gamberi vegani, che non avevo mai provato prima – una piacevole sorpresa! Io ho preso anche un toast con tofu strapazzato, semplice ma buono.
Siamo arrivati intorno alle 13, mentre servivano ancora il brunch spagnolo, ma lo chef è stato così gentile da prepararci comunque le paellas al momento. Questo gesto ha reso l’esperienza ancora più positiva.
Consigliatissimo se siete in zona!

Anche se siamo andati a pranzo ci hanno comunque cucinato le loro iconiche paella ( vi sono 4 opzioni: verdure, funghi, marisco con gamberetti vegani e una con pollo di heura). Sono poi presenti pancake dolci e salati, tapas, toast, tortillas di patate, sandwiches e dolci oltre che mondi ita scelta di bevande alcoliche e non. Assolutamente consigliato per ogni vegano che vuole mangiare una buona paella con un’atmosfera tipica e con la tipica tranquillità spagnola!

I had super high hopes for this place after finding it on here. I was very excited to try Spanish food but we left feeling disappointed. We ordered the Spanish ritmo, a tapas platter, which was €40 but felt like very little food which didn’t taste very good for that price. The cheesecake was very nice though. My partner really like the beer but the sangria was not to my taste. Had originally planned to eat here twice but chose to go elsewhere after the first visit. Staff were friendly.

My boss and her son stated the sangrias were good, though I did not get one myself. I would love to go back to try their more brunch style items.

I saw the article on the top 10 vegan restaurants in the world and as I happened to be in Barcelona, I had to check this location. Is a little alternative, similar to a pub or a Kneipe, but the drinks were spectacular and the food (I've had the sea food paella) was fantastic. The shrimps looked so real that I was not sure if I wanted to taste them. I cannot wait to go back.

Locale 100% veg nel caratteristico quartiere gotico, e l’atmosfera del locale è molto a tema. Spazio interno un po’ piccolo ma c’è un bello spazio nella piazzetta esterna. Bei drink colorati e ben presentati, buona varietà di tapas e diverse opzioni di paella da porzioni singole, una rarità! Abbiamo così potuto assaggiare due tipi di paella piu uniche che rare: , la marisca con veg gamberetti (!) e la valenciana con fake meat dell’heura. Quindi bei e abbondanti i condimenti ma il riso era un po’ avanti di cottura e non croccante sul fondo. Spero sia migliorabile, vista l’originalità potrebbe essere davvero uno dei posti migliori dove mangiare paella.
