Great dips and bread - Edit
I visited the restaurant on a weekday lunch and it was more than half full so remember to book!
Read moreI had the set vegan menu, which needs to be ordered for everyone on the table. It was delicious, especially the hummus, baba ganoush and a tomato based one. The freshly baked bread was delicious and if you get the set menu you have free refills on the bread (which wasn't written anywhere). There were other dishes like barbecue mushrooms (maybe a tad too burnt), a salad of radicchio which had a wonderful dressing. The only dish I would not recommend was potatoes with a very spicy sauce and preserved lemon, the lemon clashed with the sauce and made everything a little bitter.
We didn't try their desserts.
Pros: Hummus, Fresh bread
Cons: Small tables

Went here yesterday as part of a birthday celebration trip to London to see ABBA Voyage with my sister. What a great place. Lovely staff and delicious food. All good vegan except a small handful which are clearly marked as such on the menu.

Nice fancier meal out - Edit
This place gets soooo busy. I went with another vegan friend and we got like 10 dishes to share which actually was way cheaper than I thought it was going to be but they could hardly fit on the table which was so funny. I wish some of the portion sizes were bigger but they all tasted good.

Cozy and cute - Edit
The food here is incredibly good. I was here with a few others and we got there per person meal. We were warned that it’s a lot of food but weren’t prepared for just how much. That being said, every dish was unique and so delicious. A bit pricey but a great experience. Great for a date night.

Wow - that is some SMOOOOOTH hummus - Edit
Never had hummus or baba ganoush as smooth and creamy. A little (lot?) of oil goes a long way! Very friendly staff. Do make a reservation -- very crowded.

We went for dinner to celebrate my friend's birthday in January 2025. We ordered the Bubala Knows Best (vegan), which includes Laffa bread, a pickle plate, hummus, baba ganoush, oyster mushroom skewers, falafel, smacked cucumber, and two other things I’ve forgotten the name of. Everything was really delicious, and we were stuffed. They gifted a dessert to my friend to celebrate his birthday, which was such a kind gesture that we don’t often see these days. I strongly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Amazing dips - Edit
We did the vegan mezze except falafel. I think the dips and bread were the best bit! The other dishes were a bit too extreme with flavour, could be balanced better. I would go again and try some other dishes

Incredible staff, service and food if I could give it more than a 5 I would. Amazing meze style menu Id recommend ordering about 3/4 dishes each and sharing with the table to try a little bit of everything.

Very good - Edit
Excellent tasting menu featuring Mezze-style small plates. The vegan version featured baba ganoush, hoummus, grilled beetroot, lava bread, skewered oyster mushrooms, and braised Jerusalem artichoke. And there was more!! Flavourful food, delicious wines and cocktails, and super helpful staff.

Stunning! - Edit
One of the best restaurants in London. This food is unbelievably delicious. I had the set menu which was £45 per person and came with a lot of food. The smashed cucumber salad was a standout, as well as the mushroom skewers.

Delicious, superb value in Soho! - Edit
I didn’t take a single photo because the food at Bubala was so distractingly good! We went for the vegan meze weekday lunch menu which was £32.50 per person and is perhaps some of the best value food available in a restaurant of this quality in Soho.
Read moreWe shared laffa bread, hummus, baba ganouch, tamari oyster mushroom skewers, smacked cucumbers with tahini, falafel, gem lettuce with hazelnut and apple and smoked Jerusalem artichokes.
The room was buzzing and bustling which made for a great ambiance and with London getting more and more expensive I think this offers decent value for money.

Tasty but small servings - Edit
What we tried was super tasty but the servings were really small, as if they had been taken out of a bigger mezze platter. We didn't have a reservation but staff were super nice and made some room for us at the counter.

Really good - Edit
Really enjoyed Bubala. We didn’t have a reservation but the really friendly lady at reception found a table for us. All the staff were really friendly and knowledge and made the whole visit for us. The food is good, loads of options and we went for the vegan tasting menu which we enjoyed. The only slight criticism (perhaps personal taste) is that a few of the dishes had burnt chilli oil on them so there was one note and some of the grilled dishes were very grilled to point of being burnt. The rest of the food was very good. Dog friendly.
