Everything Vegan - Edit
The strawberry crunch cake doughnut was super delicious. The Phillywide Sammie was delicious 😋. The Lox of love was very good with smoked paprika and chilli cream cheese.

Decent offerings - Edit
I had fairly high hopes for Brewerytown after following them on instagram for a while, at first it wasn’t clear if all of their offerings were vegan, and since I don’t live nearby it took me a while to find a good day to check it out.
Read moreWe picked up two croissants, two donuts, and two cream cheese bagels.
The croissants were not as dense and layered as I hoped, but the flavor was good. I was disappointed to see the teeny tiny pieces of chocolate in the pain au chocolat.
The donuts were decent, and I think the Boston cream was maybe my favorite thing in the group, though I believe they were a special and brought in from Bethlehem’s Vegan Treats.
And then the bagels…. The bagels themselves were good. No one can top a Kettle Black bagel, sorry! The price was good, but the “cream cheese”… oof. We tried two different kinds and they both had the consistency of sour cream. I’ve mixed up tofutti with seasoning and veg, and I know Grondcore uses tofutti. So I have no idea what kind of cream cheese Brewerytown uses, but I really hope they consider changing it. It was so wet and thin and drippy, my partner couldnt finish his bagel, which is wild to me.
I’m glad to have another option for vegan baked goods in the city, and I’ll try to visit again when I’m near that neighborhood.
Pros: Variety, Good flavor
Cons: Skimpy pastries, Wet, gloopy cream cheese

This is truly a charming spot! Excellent options for sandwiches, bagels, and sweets. The decor is festive and colorful, and the owner we met was delightful.

Yummmm - Edit
Loveee this place! I ordered the Phillywide Sandwich and it was hands down the BEST vegan breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. I also ordered some baked goods and bread which I have yet to try. If I am ever in Philly again I will definitely be stopping here again.

disappointing but nice staff - Edit
Staff was extremely friendly, place is 100% vegan, and prices were good- now here’s the bad part. I had the “lox” samdwich and it was genuinely gross. I’m really not a picky eater, but the lox was really salty and slimy, the cream cheese was runny, the whole thing kept falling apart, and the bagel wasn’t even toasted. I’ve thought about going back to try the sausage egg and cheese and give them a second chance, but the lox sandwich was so bad that it’s hard to imagine it existing on the same menu as something quality. The iced coffee was fine, pretty meh, and I had a “cannoli” and the filling was waaay too sweet and thin, and the shell was very soft. To be fair I’m an Italian from Boston so I have a high standard, however I think that also qualifies me to say that they shouldn’t even be calling that a cannoli.

Honestly really appreciated reading this, the Lox is something we've put a lot of time into trying to perfect and I'm sorry you had a bad experience with it! The Sausage Egg and Cheese is definitely a hot selling item, so I hope you'll come back and give it a try. Thanks for giving us a chance to improve!
