Yummy food - Edit
Tried the tofu curry and koftas. The curry was great! Lots of veg, so a lovely combination. The koftas were nice, but not as tasty as the curry.

Great Asian cuisine - Edit
I often go to Bodhi and it never gets old. I like the starters and the noodle soups. If you want to eat gluten free or without onion there are some options here. Just ask the staff and they will help.

Had a good lunch with 3 persons. The food comes quickly that is nice.

Also we saw a lot of children in there so it must be child friendly too, concerning the foods.

New location, mixed feelings - Edit
2025 01
Read moreVisited the new location in Parijsstraat for dinner. There's more seating now.
We had
- konjac rolls ('calamari squid' rings) 7,5€
- Steamed gyozas 10€
- Rice noodle salad 15€ with seitan ('duck') 3€
- bodhi creamy miso ramen 18€
- two desserts: chocolate mousse 5,5€ and speculoos cheese cake 6,5€ and a coffee
- two mocktails with ginger (7€ each) and a kombucha.
The konjac rolls came swiftly, Unfortunately these were very hard (fried too long? Or old?).
We waited for the gyozas, and then all of a sudden everything came together (gyozas and mains).
The gyozas were really delicious.
The rice noodle salad was nothing special, and the rice noodles tasted rather watery.
The miso ramen was very nice, spicy!
The chocolate mousse and speculoos cake were not really our cup of tea. The chocolate very bitter, and the cake very dense.
Although there's more seating in the new place, it's still rather small, but it didn't feel cosy at all (eg no decorations s on wall).
Saw one toilet, not accessible (and very small). Clean. Entrance is with small ramp.
Very friendly.
All in all, a bit mixed feelings. Both about the food and the location.

We had a nice quick lunch. 😊This place seems more for take away than 'in house dining', but there are a couple of stools and mini tables inside (there is more seating on the front terrace, but it was a very rainy day 🌧🌧).
We had the calamares (6,5€) and satay skewers (7,5€) (both sharing dishes), and rice noodle salad (16€).
Food came very quickly, it was good! The rice noodle salad was a rather small portion (at least for that price).
🐄 Gave them a @happycow window decal, hope they put it up! 😊
👩🦽 Not accessible: small step to get in, not much space inside, one toilet at the back
5-10 min walk from the city center.

We have noticed that you have edited and reposted your review, which unfortunately led to the removal of our previous response. While we respect every customer’s right to share their experience, we find it disappointing that reviews are being modified and reposted in a way that does not reflect the full context of the situation.
Read moreAdditionally, we have observed that you left a review for another restaurant, Liu Lin, under the assumption that it was owned by the same people, and that review also seemed to be influenced by bias rather than an objective dining experience. The fact that these reviews have been repeatedly edited raises concerns about fairness and accuracy, particularly on platforms that are meant to provide honest and constructive feedback.
At Bodhi Plant-Based, we have been passionately serving the vegan community for over two decades. Every day, we work hard to promote plant-based eating, educate people on its benefits, and provide quality food and service. While we welcome all feedback, we strongly believe that reviews should be fair, objective, and reflective of genuine experiences rather than personal grievances.
We understand that not everyone will be fully satisfied with their visit, and that is completely okay. However, when reviews are used as a tool to intentionally harm a business rather than provide honest feedback, it negatively impacts not only us but also the wider vegan community that we work so hard to support.
We will continue to stand by our values and mission, and we appreciate those who engage with us in good faith. If you have any further concerns, we are always open to discussing them in a constructive and respectful manner.

My review is literally the same as the one I posted on my FB page (The Bruges Vegan) and on my IG page (trudi_bruges) on January 24, 2025.
I had added an update to my Happy Cow review (clearly noted as an update on top of the post), that I would not be visiting again, referring to the discussion on FB that followed on my FB review.
As someone apparently reported my review to Happy Cow, and as such my review was filtered out, I had to remove that passage, as that passage was against HC guidelines.
Otherwise the review is exactly the same.
Thank you for respecting my impressions and my review. Bye.

Nice and friendly - Edit
This place offers honest and fresh food, and the staff is so nice.
Read moreWe had lunch (spring rolls as a starter to share and we both had the bodhi wok as a main) and shared a chocolate mousse as dessert. The wok came with white rice. The food was very tasty, the portion could have been a bit bigger maybe. We also liked the spring rolls a lot.
The chocolate mousse was nice, not the best we have had, but still very nice.
Extremely friendly and accommodating staff!
Nice place to sit.
